Not this again, the season starts a lot earlier than the end of the window.

Waiting and signing whatever is left at the end of the window with no preseason/integration into the group is the opposite of what we should be doing.

A few of us were told to ‘be patient’ last summer. The result was that we turned out one of the weakest PL teams ever for the whole of August.

Let’s not repeat this mistake or the -2 won’t be disappearing anywhere quickly.

It is almost unavoidable if , as reported, we will have loans. Many decent loan players are not released until after the EFL season has started.

Let’s see if we’ve taken any lessons from previous seasons when we’ve left business until the last minute.

The odd signing or 2 at the death is fine if it improves the squad, hopefully our ground breaking new recruitment team of one of Wilder’s mates and some bloke who knows about statistics bears some fruit earlier in the window as well.
