Probably one of our longest serving players now, hopefully he’ll be decent next season when he gets a good preseason under his belt.

Hampson doesn't look quite at home in the current formation. I think his best position is as a 8 in a three man central midfield. He's good at making forward runs and is a goal threat from midfield. The U21s returned to 3-5-2 in their last match.Bit surprised the Swiss window has been and gone now and he hasn’t joined someone there.
If we managed to get Traore a gig there, you’d have thought that after returning from Scandinavia that this would be a potential market that he could move to.
I think Cyprus (YorkBlade ?) has also closed now as has Romania.
Greece closes today and Turkey on Friday.
You’d think he’d be staying with us now, which makes you wonder why we extended his contract. We seem to be just paying his wages for the sake of it now.
As I mentioned earlier, if push came to shove I can well imagine Hampson and Blacker having more chance of game time.
Thought he looked excellent v Sunderland. All the lads clearly trust him as they gave him to ball every time they could, sometimes when he had a player right on his back.Blacker is adapting well to central midfield,
How long does he have left on his contract with us? He seems to have been around forever, with so little input into the first team. Is he the lovechild of a prominent member of United World and we are looking after him, as a family member?

Thing is we've taken 'more than one chance' on him. I think he signed a new 3 yr contract earlier this year. You can only assume that was with the intention of getting a transfer fee for him as the likelihood of him establishing himself here looks slim to zeroLike 100's before him he showed some talent , we took a chance but doesn't look like he's going to train on .
All clubs have to take a bit of a chance on players , sometimes they come off , many times not , some players are an enigma , great in training but can't perform in matches.
Hope the club and the lad find a resolution that works for all .
Would Hampson be better in the no 10 role like O’Hare?Hampson doesn't look quite at home in the current formation. I think his best position is as a 8 in a three man central midfield. Hampson's not (currently) a great playmaker in a holding duo. Nor is he fast enough to be a long term answer as a wide forward in the current formation. He'll be hoping we'll at some point return to a three man central midfield.
Blacker is adapting well to central midfield, and Sam Aston has also impressed me when I've seen him, uses the ball very well. It seems the plan to let them two be our main duo in midfield for the U21s.
At some level maybe, but I think he'd be more effective making his runs from a bit deeper. He's young though, so we shouldn't be too sure about him just yet.Would Hampson be better in the no 10 role like O’Hare?
Worst player on the pitch in the Barnsley match by some distance. Anyone we were shopping him around to at the time presumably watched it, and that will have been the end of their interest.
Could end up like the bloke in Office Space!Be due a testimonial if he knocks about long enough.
Feels to me that the only reason he's still here is because Tom Davies is constantly injured. Still a way to go before Coulibaly is starting a league game but its only a couple of injuries and suspensions away (shudder).I really saw something in this lad a couple of years ago. The way he shaped his body as he received the ball to give himself space (a bit like Arblaster does now), always seemed to create time for himself. Used the ball well, fairly athletic - I wondered why Hecky didn't use him more.
But his last two appearances have been woeful - worst player on the pitch against Baaarnsley, lost the ball more times than I care to remember.
He must be bossing it in training to even be in Wilder's thoughts.
Wilders thoughts? He can't even make the league game benches when we have injuries.I really saw something in this lad a couple of years ago. Gone where though? My source has never previously mentioned an outgoing, but today said, “He’s gone. His profile on the system isn’t there. This makes me think it’s a permanent move, not a loan, but I can’t be 100% as when Arblaster went on loan his profile wasn’t on the system either. This was an exception to the norm though”
