I get out preference for maximising loans but I do think we need some permanent signings too. I know we've had a few of the permanent signings too but think we need at least one more.

Maybe someone else from the PL has become available for loan and we're going down that route. One thing I was less keen on in relation to Johnston was that he doesn't create many assists; think it was one in 20. He is an inverted winger so likes to shoot rather than set up others and I don't think that's going to suit Moore who relies on service. Brooks on the other wing is more likely to set someone else up which is important for strikers who rely on service.

The rebuild is a 3 window job. Loans were always going to be needed this summer to fill the gaps.

Quite honestly Nick, we can't afford three windows because that means three relegated teams down from the PL. I know we got promoted last time in the second season down but my view is that we need to do it this season or face years of likely stagnation in this league like what has happened or will happen to Norwich and Stoke before that.

Rak-Sakyi On one wing and Brooks on the other. O’hare as option

Money saved to be spent on a central striker, Canon?

All of that might be true, but there’s no way a rebuild of this size happens in less than 3 windows.

I'm sure the fee going up 500k has absolutely nothing to do with the new bid for Trusty that is 500k more.... Quite a coincidence

We’ve decided to cool off our interest. Think we’re lining up a bid for Cannon and don’t want to use any off our budget on him.

If this is true a sense of deja vu, putting all our eggs in the basket of an unproven premier league striker who had a bit of a purple patch.

Hope it's wrong.

Other media saying its only Burnley and us that have submitted bids.. be surprised if WBA could afford him right now.

Plus I think Nixon knows how desperate WBA fans are for him and doing it for the clicks.

I would hope he'd chose us over Burnley if It's between us or them. I mean, I'd choose Chernobyl over chuffing Burnley!
