First player we missed out on. Swedish![]()
Goran Wildersbrexitblades, played for Sunderland a few years back.Who was that?
Worst thing to happen him playing we against Preston! It's not exciting signing someone at 34 but Stuart McCall was 37 when we signed him and that turned out well; until Warnock signed Mark Ranking!
If he is still good enough then he is young enoughThis is surely a wind up 34![]()
I think if we’re investing funds we probably want it to be into an asset we can expect a return on but not sure we’re that fussed about resale value with freesI know Wilders said we need leaders, I get that. I also thought the clubs philosophy is to sign younger players that have a resale value?
It may well be we need an older head or two, but in Egan (if he signs) and Robinson we have that experience, certainly at the back. Perhaps to play an older head alongside OA?
Personally, I’m not keen on signing players at this age, but then it has fk all to do with me
So.. I don't mean to be funny but if he's not deemed good enough for burnley then why are we going down the same path. We're doing what we always do, collecting over the hill gang again. If he is still good enough then he is young enough
Heckys womad type signings have flopped other than Hamer who was already here in the UKAnd so it begins....
#wildersbrexitblades
Resale in premier league but we need players to get us up and with bash, egan, baldock, Stevens, sharp all missing or gone and going in the summer the lack of leadership is obviousI know Wilders said we need leaders, I get that. My Burnley mate said Sean Dyche would have kept him if he was still at Turf Moor. We need leaders in the middleSo.. I don't mean to be funny but if he's not deemed good enough for burnley then why are we going down the same path. We're doing what we always do, collecting over the hill gang again.
Have a like for “womad” signingsHeckys womad type signings have flopped other than Hamer who was already here in the UK

Hope it all goes well. Excellent venue…if only for the view!Heading your way this weekend - making my debut at Goodwood races. Very excited. Weather looks decent anorl.
Rumour has it that Souza pulled a deltoid on sunday from shruggingI would miss Souza’s arm waving.
Couldn't imagine a Premier League footballer from this era doing that in thirty years time! Now delivers for Sainsbury's (Alan not Jack!). I was a little surprised when he turned up at my door! But then he probably wasn't expecting to meet a Blade in darkest West Sussex!!! He was happy to have a chat.
Harrods maybeCouldn't imagine a Premier League footballer from this era doing that in thirty years time!
It's getting a bit Dads Army in the rumor mill, but if they are releasing Charlie Taylor as well, that could be a great pick up on a free.Just spoke to a Burnley season ticket holder who doesn't like Kompany. He said Cork is a popular hard man in the middle, gets booked a lot. Can also play at centre back and right back. He is disappointed that Burnley are releasing him and Gudmundsson. Dyche would have kept them if he was still at Burnley. He is worried that Taylor, Rodriguez and Brownhills may leave Burnley too
charlie taylor is an excellent shoutIt's getting a bit Dads Army in the rumor mill, but if they are releasing Charlie Taylor as well, that could be a great pick up on a free.
..or at the end of the window ?He’s 34.
I often thought he might join us like his Dad.
But we are in the process of moving on Norwood and have done the same with Fleck.
I’m intrigued in the thinking of signing a player older than both!
In contrast to Norwood who has had plenty of involvement albeit reduced recently, Cork hasn’t started a single game though he did manage 40+ the prior season.
I’d be more enthused with Leonards than Corks of this world but then again, two of the better players over my time watching United were Stuart McCall and Gordon Cowans and they were both 38 when they were playing for us!
Let’s see what the squad is like come kick off.
Surely not ! Although if you are referring to his eye colouring then I haven’t been that close to enough players to judge !If we get him oer line, will he be our first heterochromic player?
We've had half and half scarves, now get ready for half and half eyes.Surely not ! Although if you are referring to his eye colouring then I haven’t been that close to enough players to judge !
I have a daughter with different coloured eyes and she is a Blade !!We've had half and half scarves, now get ready for half and half eyes.
Not this again, the season starts a lot earlier than the end of the window...or at the end of the window ?
