If they are allowed to bid it would make more sense for him. A starting spot more likely in a side that will probably be around us given they have a settled side.

Plus Burnley seem to be selling anything that moves whereas we seem to be building something that an incoming player can be a part of

Who knows where we look next. Have we got 7m + 3m to spend on Cannon and Johnston or are we skint 🤔 I'm sure CW has a list and lots players will become available in the next 24 hrs. I always find it very impressive how quickly deals go through when the clock is ticking. We definitely need a least 3 in imo before any potential outgoings

The football snob in me says that if he’s not good enough to have nailed down a first team spot at Celtic, then he’s not good enough for us and our desired direction of travel.

He definitely feels like one for the journey rather than the destination.

Obviously you get behind any player that pulls on the shirt but more and more I see of Brooks, the less I’m bothered about rushing to reduce his game time.

We’ve also had a summer of getting all our top targets, we didn’t get this one. So be it, we move on and look at alternatives
 

This forum doesn't half make me chuckle.

When we were signing him "He isn't even good enough for Celtic"
When we aren't signing him "Might as well give up on promotion"

On this one, I think we had a punt, played our cards, moved on. Plenty more wingers out there, who I am sure our recruitment team are monitoring. Personally, I would like to have seen him at BL, but mostly as I follow Celtic as my second team.
 
I was happy enough with this signings given the impression he was great for WBA and the relatively low fee. If it's true he dipped off at WBA I'm not upset about missing out on him.
