Ismaila Coulibaly

Plus points:
He seems quick, comfortable in tight spaces, has a few tricks up his sleeve, and plays passes through the lines (Something that Norwood doesn't do enough of)

Negative:

Seemed to be missing for.10 minutes or so in the first half. didn't find space for players to pass to him. It could be though our players aren't confident of passing to him in tight spaces though.

Given the ref gave them two penalties, missed a handball, we had a goal chalked off for offside, having a midfielder on a yellow would have been manna from heaven for him.

Did well. Safe at time but wasn't too negative. Decent in the tackle, athletic, passes well, good weight to his passes, still looked to move it forward, had a shot. I'd need to see the booking again. I thought they both had hold of each other. I found it harsh given it was his first foul.
Ref also missed a pen for them for handball and the goal was offside

Did well to say it's his proper debut. Lots for him to learn about how play. Think he could be a real bonus last part of the season.

Played well, good touch and distribution, linked well with Ndiaye and good link play in general. An asset on that performance. However, faded badly as second half wore on. Surely he is experienced enough now that fitness shouldn't be an issue?

Went quiet after he got booked, but really impressed at the start, fast accurate passing, hopefully he’ll be able to kick on from that performance.

Looked disappointed with himself when he came off and he really shouldn't be. It's a position with a lot of responsibility, not like sticking an attacking player on and giving them freedom to run around, and I thought he did very well. Some very nice touches and passes. For a first real look at him it was very good.

He’s missed a huge amount of football though. There’s fitness, match fitness and the risk of picking up secondary injuries, which can often happen to players coming back from long layoffs, to consider. He’s obviously not match fit because you only get match fit by playing matches.

I thought he was great in that first half, just watched the whole game back and I really enjoyed feeling comfortable when he received the ball, did everything right, good in possession, didn't waste balls, few flicks and tricks, looked confident and I see this as a huge bonus, he stays fit and gets a run in the team we might see what he's really capable of, as for the yellow no different to the other silly and dubious yellows the other lads got..

However, Doyle and Mcatee should be before him atm, but if hes an option instead of the "grafter" Osborn I'll have coulibaly please..

Osborn had a much better game so I give him credit, but personally I panic a bit when he's tackling or trying to control the ball, he's deffo the new "monty" who we only appreciated at the end..

Agree on your positives

On the negatives Thought he looked off the pace at times and got a bit lost… he was done when he came off

Think it’s just fitness and match fitness so it will come

The lad didn't let us down on Tuesday and played some good passes. Needs more game time at Championship level to improve but he's certainly got something about him that will surely get better as he trains more with the first team.
UTB & FTP

Are you for real? The one where Lowe volleyed the ball into Robinson's arm from less than a metre and where Robinson's arm was in a natural position? That one?

There is no way that Leigh Doughty would have turned down the opportunity to give Wrexham another spot kick if there was even the slightest possibility of it being the correct decision. He didn't get many calls correct but that one was spot on.

How does fitness and experience tie in?

He’s nowhere near as good as Norwood, Fleck, Doyle, McAtee, Berge. Probably 6th choice midfielder imo. I’d probably have Osborn in there ahead of him too.

Did ok. nothing too impressive but considering it's his first big game he did fine. Not sure how he'll cope with greater intensity as Spurs were pretty flat.

I think Coulibaly's more comfortable in a holding duo. But he showed composure and really good technique several times first half. There were plenty of times where he could have messed up, but he handled them well.

Then you could see his miss affected him. Shortly before he went off he made an over-hit pass with the outside of his boot. I think he's got a lot to offer and would like to see more of him. Good to see Ndiaye running over to him after he'd scored.

Another chance & anymore big mistakes we should get rid asap - made two big errors tonight that could have ruined one of our best performances I’ve seen for a looong time.
