Could see he was disappointed to come off. Which is good. He had received a yellow card so it was probably the sensible thing. I thought he did well. Just needs a bit more confidence.
Given the ref gave them two penalties, missed a handball, we had a goal chalked off for offside, having a midfielder on a yellow would have been manna from heaven for him.

Did well. Safe at time but wasn't too negative. Decent in the tackle, athletic, passes well, good weight to his passes, still looked to move it forward, had a shot. I'd need to see the booking again. I thought they both had hold of each other. I found it harsh given it was his first foul.

I said to my mate if mullin had scored that it would have been the winner regardless of offiside, what's a yard on an offside when it's ignored on a pen decision

?? He was playing league one/two/conference level players. Did okay. Young player who wouldn't be first choice if we had a full squad. With returning players soon he might not make every squad imo.
young lad puts in a decent performance but gets slapped down. Blimey you're a right ray of sunshine Berkshire !

Not sure I understand this love in for him tonight!
Did ok not much wrong but really wasn't progressive at all.
Sideways and backwards all night.
Ok-ish for a first game but we need to see more confidence in both passing forwards and moving forwards.
Imo anyway.
You do know it's Coulibaly we are talking about ? Sideways & backwards, do me a favour.

Thought he did okay nothing more nothing less. I know fans tend to get carried away with younger players but I don't think the standard of last night was anywhere near a championship game.

He played in Norwood’s position and did better than most others we have tried there in recent years against what is, effectively, a top L2 side.
He kept it ticking, allowed sander and mcatee to get further forward

True, he was the least advanced when we had the ball. The starting formation last night was 3-4-1-2 with Berge and Coulibaly deeper than McAtee (who was a number 10 all night).

We kept that shape until Lowe came on for AA. Hecky may see Coulibaly as a player who makes it easier to play with a central holding duo, rather than the "flat" three in which Norwood is the deepest.

Following Lowe's introduction we changed to a back four and a midfield diamond. Nice to see Hecky showing some flexibility to change things during the game.

Played quite a few balls forward straight into the attackers last night so not sure what game you were watching.

Good display from the lad .will give the manager faith in him

Maybe reading too much into this, but he looked really disappointed to be subbed.

There was some footage of the dugout when either the second or third goal went in and he was very animated.

He feels like a new signing and as people have been saying we haven’t brought in a midfielder for years, which ignores McAtee and Doyle, we now have another option.

If the amount of minutes he's getting on the pitch affects whether he can get a work permit or not, then yeah, he'll be annoyed to be coming off when he's having a good game.

(Not sure if it does or not)

He played a really poor pass in his own half in the first half and gave them the ball.

I was going to mention this. He panicked under pressure and played a blind pass across the edge of our box. Against better opposition we might have been punished for it.

Apart from that though I thought he showed enough to be a part of the match day squad for league games. His fitness was clearly lagging in the second half so it wasn't surprising to see him subbed.

He showed something last night for Hecky to give him more time, obviously have to account for the opposition but surely he must have given Hecky more faith in giving him further time over next few weeks coming of bench etc

I may be wrong but I thought the booking was for deliberate handball. I think the referee saw the Mullin wrestling as both of them (it was clearly Mullin fouling Coulibaly) but then as Coulibaly fell he batted the ball away from the second Wrexham player with his hand. I was watching in 2002's standard definition (cheers ITV/Freeview/Amazon FireTV) though so it wasn't entirely clear.

I thought the same at the time, but I don't think we ever got a replay of the handball.

I think the point is "don't get carried' away. Looks promising, but the opposition he played against are non-league. I remember everyone thought Mouse would save us because he scored a couple of goals against Doncaster Rovers in pre-season.

So, good night's work for a full debut.
Non league maybe but as a team i think they play above non-league level, well organised and physical.

The lad is trying to establish himself in the team,it's only his first start, just feeling his way,I.M.O.

Impressive display I felt, good positioning, accurate passing and looked at home in centre midfield, pinged a lot of balls into feet.No issues if he starts Satday

I thought he was excellent - the main positive of the night.
You have to remember he's not match sharp yet, and that's something he'll only get from starting regularly. Hopefully we'll use him frequently now, especially with a run of Satdee Tuesdee matches coming up.

Really enjoyed watching him in the first half. I think he can definitely add the spark they our midfield has been missing.

I like Osborn, but when you compare him with Coulibaly you can see Coulibaly is a proper footballer. His head was always up, played some great forward passes, and has a lovely technique.

I think our other "proper footballers" such as Norwood, Berge, Ndiaye, Mcatee, Lowe and Bogle will benefit hugely from having another one on the same wavelength as them.

He is a useful discovery for this squad. Just at the time when we might need extra spark and athleticism in midfield.
He has really good feet. Potentially a really good baller. Comes across as humble but confident.
