One moment summed up our wrong team selection today. Lundstram with a golden chance to score and instead opts to pass to Evans who makes a complete hash of it.

Neither should have started, neither good enough.

The pass to him was shite. He held it up and looked like he was fouled.

Did you want him to backheal it in or flick it up for the overhead kick?

Lundstram should have buried it

Only one team in it today. Enough chances for a 5-0 win. Unlucky hitting the post and pretty obvious pen denied.
Ipswich looked very ragged at the end.
What real clear cut chances were there to be 5-0 though?
Evan's was already off for Wilson.
Yes I know he was, that's why I'm saying it was the wrong decision. Brooks on for Evans and upfront with Sharp.

good away point , clean heet ,

the game in hands totally being overlooked and just seen as being 5 adrift

let re assess when weve all played the same number of games

Its not a 'good point' - they are absolutely awful and could have been comfortably beaten had we shown a little more attacking intent.

Looked safe in defense all game and created loads. Just need a quick poacher hovering around the box and we could have had 3 or 4. Having said that, it still heels a bit like a missed chance for 3 points. For what it's worth, Lundstrum should have buried his chance.

Seen some posters on this thread using words like shit and disgraceful about our performance today. Well I'm sorry but that is disgraceful.

Ok we maybe should have won today having dominated but we were the better side - how is that shit or disgraceful FFS? We can be disappointed yes but come on, look how far we have come under CW. His hands were tied today with injuries to Leon and Duffy, recent injuries to Holmes and Brooks, Donaldson's indifferent form of late.

We are competing very well at this level, possibly punching above our weight, given our budget and we are still work in progress.

And don't we still have to play Middlesbrough at home?

Serious question. Have you ever said anything remotely positive on here?

I’m not expecting you to be that positive after today but all I’ve ever seen you do is complain
It’s all about opinions... Nothing to be positive about since October, not complaining, frustrated is the word your looking for, frustrated at the 2 or 3 good chances we didn’t take them, frustrated with the ‘powers that be’ who wouldn’t make that modest investment for that special quality player we required. CW was given a budget to shop at Lidl and it shows in the average league one players he brought in, players that can’t get in the starting line-up,
Does anyone really think the the board will significantly invest in the summer? or ever? NOT A CHANCE! I’ve seen it all before. I think we did OK today, the game was very frustrating, don’t blame the pitch... we have some great League one players but too many average Championship players, I thought we did nothing special against a very very poor Ipswich, and we missed Duffy. CW on RS had a different opinion - he thought we where great, you have a different opinion. At the end of the day this is a forum for opinions and this is mine, I didn’t see many positives from today’s game, except that I thought we battled well but it’s the quality that’s missing and over the past 5 month. Saying all that doesn’t mean I’m not 100% behind my team and on Tuesday I will be there supporting the boys. No booing from me!

I watched the game, they are one of the worst sides I've seen this season.

It was not a 'good point' today it was 2 points not taken when they were being offered to us.

we feel disappointed at not winning away in the championship

and no one sees that as progress

2 years ago what would we thought of drawing at ipswich when we were losing 0-1 at home to burton
positives are something blades fans dont do are they

But it's not 2 years ago, is it? What a load of bollocks, us being shit 2 years ago means we can't be disappointed for a game now?

Hey Sunderland might be rock bottom of division 2 but at least they were in the Premier League 2 years, ago, right? I fail to see the logic in looking at past seasons for comfort.

But surely it shows how far we have progressed over the last 2 years? The fact that we are now competing well in the Championship?

shows how far weve travelled

ipswich have won 3 away games in the championship since february if we make them look poor we are doing something right
preston lost at home to them
so they cant be utterly useless or they wouldnt be top half

lets see where we are this time next week

If we played every single game like this we wouldn't be competing well in the championship

But we are not, and haven't, which is why we are competing.

Competing? We were fighting wolves for automatics in November and now we're aiming for 6th and celebrating a draw to Ipswich. Fuckinell our standards do drop quite quickly. Any other club would be pissed off at this, but the small club mentality that our fans have drives out any criticism of the team.

Nah. Our fans are just smart enough to know that our best XI is good enough to challenge, but the backup is a class below.

Well first of all I don't see anyone celebrating today's result.

Yes, we were competing better earlier in the season but to still be competing for a play off place is still a very good achievement given where we have come from and the budget constraints we have. We have a number of 1st team players out with injury and we were still the better side against a team only 4 points behind us.

I can understand criticism if we don't turn up like at Hull but overall I think we all need to show some realism and perspective.

You're right, that's why we should be starting creative players Brooks- oh wait.

Yes, maybe we should, but again he has been out with illness and injury for ages so maybe the management and medical team don't think he's ready for 90 mins yet?

Alright, assuming your correct, we should at least be keeping on our inform players. Like Sharp- hm.

Ched Evans sums it up.

F*cking Ched Evans?!!

We have Donaldson, Brookes, Wilson all on the bench and we start with Ched Evans. A player who is probably only good enough for the top end of the conference, maybe bottom end of league 2.

No pace, is highly erratic, he hasn’t scored a goal in well over a year, hasn’t scored at championship level in 8 years.

At what point is it a good idea to start him in a must win game??

We can complain all we want about not having the resources of other clubs, but leaving better players on the bench and starting with a conference level striker is our own fault.
Love everyone slagging ched off as a scapegoat for the entire team :D. He's competing with 5 players to get a starting position and when he finally gets his one chance he's hounded down. If this were sharp or brooks no one would say fuck all.
