We lack that final bit of quality and creativity in the final third and Brooks and Holmes are still both sat on the bench.

I love Wilder, but I don't understand this.
absolutely 200% correct in every word of this post---that's the thing its so obvious...what is Tufty thinking here ....3 points there for the taking

Can someone tell me why we have no creative midfield players on the pitch, in a must win game... when we have a good young creative talented player sat on the bench? Just don’t get it? Watching this is so frustrating!

If we don’t win this it will be one loll of a wasted opportunity.
Ipswich look one of the worst teams I’ve seen this year and we can’t break em down!!
F**king he’ll what a miss

this is Hull all over again..but we have played a bit better than that .....and we know what happened there.... you just can see it...

Thats two hours I won't get back.

Very negative performance from the off and when we did get chances we didn't take them.

2 points dropped, game was there for the taking Ipswich are awful.

Wilder has to take the blame today for me, wrong team selection and wrong substitutions.

Not starting with an attacking mid, waiting until 75 mins to bring Brooks on, and then taking off the wrong player in Sharp.

Awful game.

This is why we don't deserve to finish in the play offs. Poor performance. If we had any hope of grabbing top 6 we have to win games like this.

When did we turn into a long ball team that panics as soon as we're in the area and no one wants the responsibility of taking the shot / final ball / cross.

Think it was a penalty but JL should have buried it before it even got there.

WTF... sums it up 0-0 sh@*t,

Serious question. Have you ever said anything remotely positive on here?

I’m not expecting you to be that positive after today but all I’ve ever seen you do is complain

Only one team in it today. Enough chances for a 5-0 win. Unlucky hitting the post and pretty obvious pen denied.
Ipswich looked very ragged at the end.

No one should be positive after todays performance.... it was disgraceful. CW let us down with the team selection. For whatever reason CW seems like hes lost confidence in his attacking style of play.

are you watching this?? tell me what Ched Evans has done in this game that is remotely useful.... get fucked if you don't like the truth ! its not just me saying it pal, plenty on here saying the same
Evans has been ok not stood out (didn't he win that freekick just outside the area?) but then nobody really has, Fleck and Lundstram looked the best for me. What you are spouting is certainly not the truth, so no problems there. And finally one or two people don't like Evans for various reasons, mostly not football related. The rest of us are willing to give signings a chance and not just lay into them for having a quiet game on a terrible pitch where few people are coming out with any credit.

Ched Evans sums it up.

F*cking Ched Evans?!!

We have Donaldson, Brookes, Wilson all on the bench and we start with Ched Evans. A player who is probably only good enough for the top end of the conference, maybe bottom end of league 2.

No pace, is highly erratic, he hasn’t scored a goal in well over a year, hasn’t scored at championship level in 8 years.

At what point is it a good idea to start him in a must win game??

We can complain all we want about not having the resources of other clubs, but leaving better players on the bench and starting with a conference level striker is our own fault.

A very very difficult pitch to play football on United started brighter but still didn't look like scoring. Ched and Sharp were subbed for Wilson and Brooks but it was still hard going until Wilson almost had the winner a quick turn and shot by Wilson saw his shot smash against the post. Wilder brought on Donaldson to try to get the winner but the pitch was dreadful every time the ball was played. Ipswich could of played all day and not looked like scoring but a apart from Wilson's efforts against the post we lacked that vital finish. On this performance the play offs look a world away 0-0

I didn't think Evan's did too bad, on par with Sharp today.

One moment summed up our wrong team selection today. Lundstram with a golden chance to score and instead opts to pass to Evans who makes a complete hash of it.

Neither should have started, neither good enough.

I agree, I thought both did ok with the terrible service they were given. There was no link between the midfield and forwards, which was down to the team selection/tactics.

If you’re going to play Lundstram, Evans and Fleck in the middle at least push Fleck or Lundstram further forward

If you were selecting a team to win a game would you pick a conference level striker over Donaldson, Wilson or Brookes?

Would you pick a striker who hasn’t scored in over 16 months?

Would you pick a striker who hasn’t scored in the championship in 8 years?

I can’t even believe we have him in our squad and are paying him a wage, let alone starting him in a game we need to win.

Lundstram’s pass was behind Evans, he never had chance to make a hash of it

I wouldn't have picked him no but Donaldson had a mare on Tuesday and Brooks isn't fully fit yet. I'd have started with Holmes but then I'm not at training every day.

I’m sure Chris would rather have picked Coutts, Duffy and Clarke but he couldn’t. Brooks, Wilson and Holmes are all coming back from injury and Donaldson didn’t offer much in the last game.

Needs must. Taking 4 points off Ipswich not the worst result. Beat Burton and we are in the mix.

We may need to beat Boro to get in the top 6 but if we can’t beat them at home when we need to, we can hardly claim we deserve to be in the play offs ahead of them.
