Brooks is going to end up League 1 or 2. He's just far too inconsistent. I can see Barry ending up there too.

Ohare just has no significant attributes aside from running around.

And Cannon... I just don't get how he isn't trying to get involved more?? Even when it's a ball over the top he's 2 meters behind the center back every time

Barry’s confidence looks shot…hesitating when up against better players

Run out of ability not confidence. He’s a league one player all day long. Same with Brooks

With that said, some positives for me - Tanganga again, and McGuinness seems ok. Matos looks like a decent signing too. Fingers crossed we've sorted out the defensive side or at least made us competitive. Just need to work on the attack - we have Hamer, Chong on the bench and still to play is Ogbene so hopefully there's something to work with there for the lack of creativity

Our front three Cannon, Brooks & Barry aren't getting involved at all, Matos & Burrows look good

The front three have been shocking. Done nothing and look very low on confidence.
Keep having to check that Cannon is even on the field.
We don’t seem to have the speed to hit them on the break or the guile to break down a packed defense.
Add that to a defense that is too open and concedes simple goals, plus we don’t seem to be getting any lucky breaks, it’s all a bit worrying.
We’ve not put any team under any pressure at all this season except for maybe 10-15 mins vs Bristol City.
Just hoping for a second half turnaround but don’t see it. Think this dude is way out of his depth and needs to urgently upgrade his IPad soccer strategy app.

I've been a naive optimist for a while. I've tended to either bite my tongue, or say nothing, in lieu of waiting to see how things develop. But now, after that half, there's no disputing it anymore.

He's got to go.

There's a veneer to this side, of trying to deceive the viewer into thinking that they're working hard. When in reality, there's absolutely fuck all going on in possession. Nobody moves off the ball, nobody takes up threatening positions, nobody looks willing to run past a man, nobody looks willing to take a shot. All we're capable of is hunting for set pieces, where the best we can do is get a shot that fails to hit the target.

The rare occasions off the ball, where we press high, look good in principle, but they're so lacking in numbers actually doing it that's it's easy to play around it, as Ipswich have proved.

I think Ipswich are a perfect demonstration of what Selles wants us to be. Very direct, with a central lad acting as a focal point for the wingers and the #10 to play off of. But we don't have a striker who can play that role; ironically, the one who would have been best for that was sold to Wrexham. The midfield looks devoid of ideas, even when Hamer is on the pitch, the strikers are isolated and without support, and the defenders are working overtime because no cunt in front of them wants the ball for more than 3 seconds.

Absolute shitshow. Accept hiring Selles as the mistake it obviously was, and find someone else, who will make this side the offensive threat it's capable of being.

Godfrey plays so far off his man but Gilchrist was the same. Are they being told to do this or are they just piss poor at defending. I think it’s a mixture of both !

I think he knows he’s only going to get the ball 3 or 4 times in an entire match and feels under an insane amount of pressure in those rare instances.

Obviously he’s not blameless but like most I haven’t got a clue what we are even trying to do.
