The Great Grumbleduke
So many threads but thinking the best place might be this one, interesting to note that Spurs are reviewing their pitch and facilities due to the number of injuries they have picked up as a group over the last 2 years. I am not saying everyone is indestructible and injuries happen due a number of reasons but as everyone knows we have an injury problem, not sure if that is Wilder's preference for "full contact" training 2 days before games etc. Prime example of that 25/26 season was Bamford's knock during training that ruled him out for a few in February is the reason or is it the players that have a past injury record being more at risk or is it the poor facilities or is down to conditioning/lack of.
With trimming down our squad, I think an internal review from management wouldn't be a bad idea. It's not necessarily looking to find people at fault and witch-hunt them but it's more to find the route of the problem and bring fitness to the "core culture". As many faults Warnock had, what he didn't lack was having players that were fit and capable of being available for 90 minutes. Yes some did get injuries but the core culture was stamina, grit and effort. With the resources being tight on the funding front, we have to take inspiration in getting the most out of performances on the pitch, 25/26 season was full of 60/70 minutes appearances for a lot of players and complaining of how many 3 games in a week we had which isn't a new thing. I can understand tactically you might need to change things and on occasions give players a rest when the game is done but I just find it frustrating that a modern day footballer can't seem to put in 90 minutes worth of "work" when required to do so.

I saw James Maddison talking about it post interview the other day regarding Spurs injury issues.
Has to be said though that with us the injury crisis was bad during Hecky's time in charge. Arblaster and Souttars injuries the other season were just very unlucky but under Hecky it was snappy hammy season.
