From what we’ve been told & guesstimates when they’ll be back:

DAVIES - 4/5 weeks?
Wes - few days
BOGLE - 6-8 weeks
RND - next week
ANEL - next game
CLARK - back on grass. Probably Hull or Rotherham
J ROBINSON - 8-10 weeks?
O'CONNELL - foreseeable
STEVENS - back on grass. Hull or Rotherham
Fleck - 3/4 months
OSBORN - 1-2 months
COULIBALY - 3/4 months
KHADRA - next match?
SHARP - 2/3 months

14 injure/ one with sickness players but hopefully 6 back soon. The worry is the 8 that are out long term are all players who would usually be in our squad

I can’t imagine the prince is delighted with Hecky at times, he’s having to pay so many players who are constantly get training ground injuries. It’s a good job he’s getting results
Do we have to name a 25 man squad at some point soon ?
If so , are we gonna be forced to exclude some of the long-term injured from it , in order to ensure enough cover ?

So our 25 including those expected back soonest is something like

Wes , Davies (inj) , Amissah
Furious , Lowe , Stevens (inj) , Gordon
Anel , Egan , Bash , Clark (inj) , RND (inj) , Robinson (inj)
Berge , Norwood , Doyle , McAtee , Blaster , Osborn (inj)
McBurnie , Ndiaye , Brewster , Khadra (inj) , Jebbison , Osula

With the following excluded
Bogle , JoC , Fleck , Coulibaly , Sharp

Feels wrong to exclude some of those 5 but what an awkward time we're gonna have deciding which injured players to include.

Bogle will be back next month, already been on grass a few weeks.

3 keepers? Not needed. 2 is sufficient.

I think we just have to get through to the mid season break and if we in the top two it is hoped that players such as Fleck and Bogle should be available

Not sure we have to at Champ level but even if we did, one of the key rules is that U21 players don’t count. So you can remove Gordon, McAtee, Doyle, Arblaster. Jebbison, Osula, leaving plenty of room for those you’d left out.

Under 21s don’t count? I think a few of those named fit that category? Hope that helps. :)ETA Champers beat me to it. :)

Bring back slav!!

Sharp moaned that trainings weren't intense enough under slav and look at Sharp now and 50% of the rest of the squad.

Slav probably arrived at shirecliff took one look at that shit hole and quickly realized anything more than a light jog would leave our squad resembling a hospital ward.

He's no mug, our Slav 🤣

He also looked at Shirecliffe and thought it looked like your average League One match pitch and realised if we lost a lot of games we could get relegated and train on pitches we would play matches on.

It doesn't.
If the player is running round , what do you want them to do? They can react to how the player is.
This is just looking for things or people to bitch about
Billy was struggling at Boro after 15 minutes and completely disappeared in the game he was injured and should have been ordered off not left to carry on another 30 minutes because “he wanted to “

This comment was about flecks leg. He got it broke by an opposition player, and Hecky was being blamed.
Lots of very clever people after the event on this forum.
I'll expect we will have half a dozen players off next match who take a heavy tackle and sent off for a scan immediately, just in case.
Should keep the finger pointers happy.

That's a reference to our discussion, and it's a distortion of what I said.

I said that Heckingbottom, yet again, said that an injury was not serious when it was.
I also said that I would hope that our medical staff - not Heckingbottom - could see that a player was injured and get them off sooner rather than later.

Your second point is the big one for me. IMHO we should be much more cautious with these "let's see if he can play through it" injuries than we are being, at this stage of the season. I have no idea if subbing Fleck immediately would have shortened his recovery time but I also can't imagine that continuing to play elite sport on a fractured leg has done it any good.

With five subs we can afford to be much more careful. With respect to Fleck while he was decent against Blackburn he was by no means the reason we were strolling that game and I highly doubt things would've changed significantly if he'd come off as soon as he picked up the injury. Same with Sharp at Boro - he was a complete non-factor in the time after he rolled his ankle up to the eventual substitution (because, uh, he was clearly injured).

If it was a playoff game or something then fair enough, roll the dice and keep them out there. But there's 40+ games left - to me there's just no value in the way we've handled those two in particular, especially given how everyone's dropping like flies elsewhere anyway.

Ok, are you talking about Hecky having some part in Flecks / other injuries.
Or are you talking about the timescales Hecky mentions in interviews?

Did anyone else hear Fleck's break at the time, or did I imagine it? I was amazed when he stood up and carried on.
