From what we’ve been told & guesstimates when they’ll be back:

DAVIES - 4/5 weeks?
Wes - few days
BOGLE - 6-8 weeks
RND - next week
ANEL - next game
CLARK - back on grass. Probably Hull or Rotherham
J ROBINSON - 8-10 weeks?
O'CONNELL - foreseeable
STEVENS - back on grass. Hull or Rotherham
Fleck - 3/4 months
OSBORN - 1-2 months
COULIBALY - 3/4 months
KHADRA - next match?
SHARP - 2/3 months

14 injure/ one with sickness players but hopefully 6 back soon. The worry is the 8 that are out long term are all players who would usually be in our squad

I can’t imagine the prince is delighted with Hecky at times, he’s having to pay so many players who are constantly get training ground injuries. It’s a good job he’s getting results

It's beyond fucking ridiculous. Something needs to change and fast.

How many are training ground injuries? Happy to be corrected here, and whether a muscular strain is down to training, conditioning or just some players have on going niggles with the same appendage.

DAVIES - ❌ clash in pre season game
Wes - ❌ - ill
BOGLE - ❌ not been right since Fulham keeper tried to murder him
RND - ❌ last night
ANEL - ❌ v blackburn
CLARK - ❌ hammy
J ROBINSON - ✅ clashed with berge
O'CONNELL - ✅. 2 years ago clashed with hendo
STEVENS - ❌ ongoing calf issue
Fleck - ❌ claim it happened at blackburn
OSBORN - ❌ - Hammy
COULIBALY - ❌ knee issue
KHADRA - ❔
SHARP - ❌ v Sunderland

It’s very strange but we could end up with an absolute banging line up vs Reading which would have been many people’s pre-season top line up minute perhaps McBurnie who I doubt anyone would deny deserves it after the last two and his cameo his Sunderland:

Wes
Bash Egan Anel
Baldock Norwood Doyle Lowe
Berge McBurnie N’Diaye

Bench we know I getting bare but after Clark is back on the grass (I think):
Amissah, Clark, Arblaster, McAtee, Khadra, Jebbison, Brewster

Funny old game but I reckon that line up is right up there with what people hoped preseason.

Correct pal

Need the Lankshear cash to be available to Hecky.
We look really low on cover at the moment.

Heckingbottom said Clark would be out a week. He’s been out 4 games and counting.

Heckingbottom said that Fleck had “a knock” and he’d be ok for Luton. He has a fractured leg and will be out for 5-6 weeks (if you believe Mark Duffy) or months (if you believe Heckingbottom).

Basically the only words you can believe from Heckingbottom re injuries are “he’s out for the season”.

This has to improve if we are to achieve anything this season.

Why twist it against Hecky?
Fleck did get a knock in the game and carried on playing.
It didn't settle down so they sent him for a scan and it showed it was fractured.
Should we be pulling players off the pitch when they take a tackle, and sending them to hospital?

Heckingbottom didn’t say that during the game. He said it on Monday or Tuesday.

As to your second point, no, don’t be silly. Having said that, Fleck is not the first player this season to stay on thr field after suffering a serious injury, which begs the question of whether our medical staff who look at players on the pitch know what they are doing.

It doesn't.
If the player is running round , what do you want them to do? They can react to how the player is.
This is just looking for things or people to bitch about

I like Hecky, but I honestly don’t get why he lies so much, it’s quite odd.

The only thing I can think is he’s embarrassed of the injury list so tries to play it down quite a lot.

I blame Wilder for all the injuries. I blame Wilder for Hecky picking McAtee to start on Friday and I blame him for the shit standard of catering and service at the lane.

There is no upside to him lying, I think it’s highly unlikely he does that for your, or any other, reason, the truth will come out.

If he says Flecky has a knock and it turns out to be a fracture, it’s more likely he thought it was a knock when he said that, it’s not as if no one will notice Flecky’s leg in plaster and him on crutches.

To be honest this isn’t the one I’m referring to. Like others have said in the thread he’s consistently downplayed injuries that have ended up being 2/3 month injuries.

He said Lopata is out as he’s had an operation, then Lopata basically came out & said he’d not had an operation. There’s quite a few other occasions where he’s not quite told the full truth.

I get that this is to throw the opposition off but it gets frustrating

RND was struggling for about ten minutes before he finally went off the other night. I know it’s partly down to the players to decide whether they can continue but they’ve been brought up to keep going and try to run things off. I’d like to see us being a bit more proactive and start protecting the players from themselves.
Some injuries are unavoidable and we’re not the only club who’s suffering, I’ve heard a lot of managers claiming they’re missing five or six first team players. I think football is suffering still from Covid; from the disruption to training initially followed by a condensed programme and exacerbated by the stupid World Cup which gave us a shortened pre-season and a pretty intense start to the season. But I’m getting a bit frustrated at seeing our players hobbling around, obviously injured and potentially making it worse by continuing.

I get he can't know the exact timescale to every injury all the time, but I have never known a manager in my 45 years supporting the Blades get the time scale for being back playing wrong, and it's always longer than what he says. I honestly cannot think of one player that's come back from injury sooner than Heckingbottom has forcasted, He's like a shit Michael Fish.
I think you should multiple everything he says about injuries by 4 and you won't be far off.

It’s worth talking about. It’s the club’s biggest problem at the moment.

As for players running around as if nothings wrong, I would have thought professional medical staff would notice how they were doing.

Pointing the finger at people for no valid reason is also worth replying to.

Could it not be the case he doesn’t want to give to much away to the opposition? People are quick to jump on Sunjihi when it comes to him handing out team news let other clubs think about whether fleck will be fit to face them or not

If we’re promoted then he’s going to be a nightmare for people with Blades players in their fantasy team

Our potential XI with no injuries -

Wes
Bogle Anel Egan JOC Lowe/ RND
Berge Norwood Doyle
NDiaye
McBurnie/ Sharp

Realistically we’re missing 2/3 starting players, the worrying thing for me is how weak the bench appeared on Friday. It looked like a similar bench to how we finished last season when Hecky called it a crisis. We’re now at the start of the season with a similar if not worse issue
