That’s six players who are unlikely to play before the World Cup. Incredible.

Given the way that Heckingbottom consistently misrepresents the situation re injuries - Basham not being mentioned as injured before Watford and being represented as fit before Millwall being the latest example - I don’t think you can say with any confidence when the other 3 will return.
 
Anyone who thinks this is just bad luck needs their bumps feeling...oh and it's nothing to do with training pitches either

The main injured 6 I'm not expecting back for months. Be nice to have Basham, Doyle and McBurnie in the squad for boro.

Other than Clark, it sounds like they're all some way off.

With the congested fixture list it's only going to get worse for us as we're not going to be able to rotate.
If we keep flogging the likes of Baldock, Berge, Brewster, Ndiaye, McBurnie then there's a strong chance their bodies won't cope. History tells us this.

I've said a number of times, this squad has what it takes to go up but the injuries are already starting to mount. It will be this that kills us.

It doesn't sound like we have any budget for new signings (surprising with parachute payments and the Ramsdale sale) but 2-3 more would really help see us through to November.

Bench is really poor tonight, we’ve literally made the numbers us with kids. Bench vs Boro was very strong too.

That is bad luck with Fleck's injury but once again another knock in training and Khedra is out. 🤦‍♂️
 
The reason we get so many injuries is because of the way we play. Tonight's proving that.

Would we rather soften our game or risk the injuries?

Wes not injured, just ill so that's the good news! Fleck out for two months! It seems when we do get a player injury they're out for a minimum of a month, and there's no international breaks for a rest neither.
 
To make the Board more efficient I'd like to propose a "Players who are not injured this week" thread 😉

I think it would this one pretty close in terms of the players listed!

Get your begging bowl out Hecky and get the club to reinforce , even short term out of contract players if that's all we can afford.
It'll be a crying shame to see such a good squad fail to achieve merely because half its members are long-term injured.
 
I'm gonna buy a keepers shirt with whoever our emergency keeper loan is name on the back. But I'm going to ask for the emergency loan keeper to pay for it on social media (in advance, I'm not silly). Should entertain me for a few minutes this week.
