Injuries

Yeah we famously never had injuries under Chris Wilder
League one mainly the same team

First season in champ small squad again one big injury - Coutts

Second season - mainly same team. Most of the core XI playing over 36 league games (only Baldock that didn’t out of the starting 11)

Prem season - mainly same team. 11 players played the majority of the minutes in over 30 of the games

In Wilders best seasons he didn’t have this type of injury record.

Also just simply Google Heckingbottom injuries at other clubs and you’ll see there’s a pattern.

It is worrying - does he insist on full contact in practice sessions or summat ?

I know they have to put some effort in when training but FFS !

The most worrying aspect of tonight we're the injuries.

No

Bogle
Basham
Robinson
Doyle
McBurnie
Davies
Coulibaly

Stevens looks to be out and we'll be lucky if Egan didn't do himself some damage in that fall.
Won't be brain damage

Worrying as he claims to have learned new things from his previous time as a manager. I think with managers its never the case, they tend to be stuck in their ways as we saw with Wilder.

Let's hope Ciaran Clark is much better than he showed on Monday as we now have to stick with him.

The injuries will be our undoing again. When you consider how many we have coming back from long-term injuries (particularly up front) it's a disaster waiting to happen.

It’s a disaster already.

Robinson is our best in that position

That left side now looks like a glaring weakness unless Clark is good

Problem is, Clark might have to be better than good to carry whichever useless shite we have at LWB

Potential solution is playing Anel there. Also allows Bash back in. And no ones telling me we're better without him. Even after his poor end last season. Nope, he's still not old and past it enough to be relegated to permanent backup

FFS always somat wi our lads
Exactly. Dougie Bader had both his legs taken off and was back flying quicker than some of this lot get over knocks.
Something definitely wrong with the training side and not just the pitch.

Does running on grass mean Bogle might be back in the next couple of Weeks ? I thought he was out until December.
Sharp played on Monday so should be available Saturday maybe not ready to start but should be at least on the bench again, but he's bracketed with McBurnie who i wouldn't expect to be anywhere near the 1st team this weekend.
Also are calf injuries serious, how long can you be out for ?
Hecky talks in riddles where injuries are concerned.

I agree, he never says expected returns. Doyle and McBurnie have been back on the grass for weeks now...

Enda is so utterly finished

If he was a horse he'd be shot

Not like his absence will be felt on the pitch

Its a shame for him to end like this

What does “on the grass mean” is he just on the grass watching everybody?? Just running? Training?? Who knows!

I just don't get what benefit there is to posting such derogatory comments. Were we saying RND was a 'useless shite' after the Forest match? Lowe had a poor one against Watford, granted, but I don't see Forest fans saying he was a 'useless shite' last season.

With the injuries outlined, the lads are going to need all the support we can get whilst we're patching up an XI together, particularly so at the back. They're our own players ffs, I don't get the need for the abuse.

When someone's been an utter waste of space for 2 years plus and has been reliably picking up injuries at regular intervals it's hard not to be slightly derogatory

I hope Mcburnie is no where near the 1st team for the rest of the season!

Running on the grass means literally that. Out of the gym and running distances to build strength up.

It means he'll not be doing the other non-contact training with the squad yet.

He'll still not be back for weeks but there's no way of knowing when, so he can't give us a date. It depends how each stage of the recovery goes. There's no point making something up.

Been saying this since he took over Leeds Barnsley Hibs there's a concerning pattern of injuries

Judging by today's news looks like the list is looking like...

Davies
O'Connell
Bogle
Stevens
Robinson
Couilbaly

Then the rest are close to be involved in match day squads..

Basham
Doyle
McBurnie
