Here we go 🫠

He will be going, eventually, that much is evident. To Forest? I very much doubt it.

Only two clubs mentioned. Even if we get promoted we will be a country mile away from one of them
All depends how you view our potential.

Palace? A small club from Thornton Heath with less fans than us?

Yes they somehow defy gravity but us at our best are better than them at their best. Finished 9th and beat them twice. Following season we failed to cope with key injury to O’Connell and went down, losing to them twice.

Bit of that key injury has been Zaha for them, they’d have been in the same boat.

If you meant Forest then they didn’t get the same following as us on the same level and every chance they go down.

We should be more bullish about ourselves in my view. Different views respected of course.

Palace are a London club that never trouble the relegation spots. Far more attractive than us.

Been to Selhurst Park more times than I care to remember. Not a Premier League stadium in any sense.

Appreciate the proximity argument but it is to Fulham / Knightsbridge what the Manor is to Dore. No offence intended.

When Zaha leaves they’ll be a lot closer to the drop zone. They’ve done well to retain him for various reasons but they’ll be lucky to get a player of that caliber who’ll stay as long with them as he has. Not quite in longevity by any means but a bit like when Southampton has LeTissier. He was levels above them but for whatever reason moves didn’t transpire or didn’t have the drive to push it.

Not necessarily if we’re promoted and offer him a reasonable contract. Tempting, yes, there’s a lot of good things about them but there’s also a good argument for staying with the team where you’ve been successful and with the manager who’s developed you. A good season with us could get him a move to a better club than Palace.

If we don’t go up, he’s gone. If we go up and a big club, or a potentially big club like Villa or Newcastle come in for him, he’s gone.

If his rep as a quiet and religiously devout family man is deserved—and there hasn’t been anything public domain to suggest otherwise?—he‘ll likely give zero fucks about a move enhancing his access to fleshpots and bling, and 100% consideration to kicking his career up a notch or several.

In which case that London might hold little interest for him, re fleshpots, and Palace little for him re major career progression, especially if we go up this year.

How much would he play, if he went to a top 6 or 8 Prem club?

Abroad sounds a decent shout, unless he‘d be happy mainly to sit on benches for a year or two (he might be happy with this).

Forest? Oh my aching (from retching) sides 🤮

Crystal Palace are in their 10th consecutive top flight season. Unfortunately, they're much more successful than us in the modern game

So what if they’re a London club? Never understood that argument. The most successful clubs in England are all from the North. The best players in the league play at northern clubs. The best mangers in the league are at northern clubs. Player go to successful clubs where the best coaches are rather than dig out Google maps and check where a club is based. If it was like that then teams from London would be walking away with the league every year.

Why do you claim to be a Blade when the grass on the other side seems greener to you?
You are wrong mate, the grass on the other side doesn't seem greener, it is greener. Don't worry though, I remain a blade.

You won't be as big of a blade as Silent Blade .

He's a right legend.

Despite rarely giving an opinion on anything, he's brilliant at critiquing others and getting personal with fellas he doesn't know.
He seems a top, top bloke.

Villa big club...your having a fucking laugh.

Even if we have a bad season if he himself stood out individually in the prem he could still get a big move relegation is no longer a barrier to a big move. Recent examples would be Ramsdale with us and Sarr at Watford even though a deal wasn’t reached there was a lot of interest in him.

Seeing Palace as more attractive is just plain common sense.

They've spent far more time in the top flight in recent decades than we have and clearly have more pull and money.

They've paid Zaha over 100k a week to keep him for starters.

Just because our ground is better and we average better crowds doesn't mean players will be more desperate to come here.

It's frankly silly suggesting than pointing this out means you're effectively slagging United off.

The ground is a dump and out of the London clubs it is the worst for road traffic. Horrible place too

Palace have been really good at spotting street footballer types in tge championship
Wouldnt surprise me at all if they came in for ndiaye

Players don't care what the area's like. All they care about is the dollar dollar bills yall, how big the house is and if their family can move nearby and finally, if the local females look like they could work for Brazzers.

Not sure they factor in the traffic when signing for a club. Weirdly Gen Z footballers don't think the same as middle aged Northerners.
