And probably highly frustrated as well. Some of his off the ball movement has been great, but we’ve opted for the tippy tappy stuff. His knock downs have been good and I’m sure it will come.
His off the ball movement has been gash. Balls coming in from behind and he sits behind his defender

With a bit more care in possession, we'd have been out of site by half time.

Plenty of work to do, but I'm actually pleasantly surprised by the results so far. I thought that, with all the changes, we would struggle early on.

Solid today and looked really good on the counter. We really should have been 3 up at half time. Just wish we could control the game a bit more as we gave Hull too much in the second half. I’m sure it will come. There’s a really good feel about the club at the moment.

Very bitty and 2nd gear tonight, but with the premier league experienced quality we have, in this division it’s usually enough. That’ll be the difference for us this season.

How we play is a way which you get away with when you’re winning and drawing but will soon get tiresome when we start loose which we will invariably do.

However I’m not bothered we will finish comfortably mid-table and I’m happy with that , playing decent and scoring goals

From a statistical point of view, we seem very likely to pick up a 1 or 2 goal win here
Very happy with this now in hindsight.

Think it was mentioned in commentary, but Hull have lost a  disgusting amount of goals in the summer, and while they signed a few players who look capable of creating a chance or 2, they've got no proven goalscorers. If they did, I don't think we win that one.

Their style of play leaves them absurdly vulnerable too, so we were able to punish their frailties with some good counter attacking. Could, and should, have had more than the 2, but I won't turn my nose up at 3 points.

Gilchrist a real contender for MOTM for me. Don't think they had a sniff against him all game. Souza and Anel great as well, and Cooper made some decent saves - great for him to have 2 clean sheets in his first 3 games.

Think Moore was okay. Doing the lone striker role is never easy, and he did a some things well, such as his involvement in the 2nd goal. Does great to chase down the clearance, outmuscle the defender, and play a smart forward pass to maintain the breakaway. But then there are moments like when he was in behind first half, and cut back to his right foot before passing to O'Hare. Should have just took the shot with his left foot I think. He's not a bad player - I just think he's trying too hard to be a team player, when sometimes he could just be a greedy twat and make a bigger impact.

Happy overall - 5 unbeaten now, still with plenty of room to improve.

I’d like to see Rak-Sakyi shoot a bit more. It’s like he gets a bit of anxiety about actually taking a shot and it paralyses him. That said, if ever there was a player who you thought “if he scores one, the floodgates will open” it’s him.
Not sure about that. Seems like the goal mouth is a magnet to him. Maybe shoot sooner. But his confidence is off the scale.

Some very good performances in a physically demanding game. There was a lot of ground to cover for midfielders, particularly as we sat deeper and played on the counter.
Burrows was excellent. Vini worked hard and his ability to get a tackle in and snuff out an attack really shone tonight.
Hamer and O'Hare showed class. Souttar and Anel were both really solid. Cooper did well and even though he is small for a keeper does well in the air.
As the players gel more it looks like a promising season.

Wilder summing it up well on Sky, that he was disappointed how we gave away possession too cheaply. Says he was dissapointed how we never controlled the game but he said it's the sign of a good team when you don't play that well but still gain 3 points.

Agree.....tonight reminded me of alot of displays under Hecky and that team finished 2nd.
Think it was an impressive battling defensive display....and thankfully we have some high quality players, meaning we're always capable of scoring.

We weren't at our best tonight but the irony is.....we looked the most dangerous....when defending from their corners.
It was as though Wilder had seen a weakest in the Hull team...that they attack in too many numbers leaving themselves wide open on the break.
So our best chance of winning was to let Hull have plenty of attacks and corners.

For all the attacking Hull did, they never looked like scoring apart from the header that hit the bar. Our defence looked very comfortable all night, particularly impressed with Anel and Gilchriest. We had our doubts about Gilchriest in early matches but he seems to be getting better every match.

If only we had a striker with pace we can guarantee to score the goals.

I think slightly differently (although it might not happen perfectly with Moore), but i think have the big man on first to soften up the defenders and move them around and then bring the speed on after 60-70mins.

This might have happened tonight, but Hamers knock may have changed the plan with him coming off instead of Moore.

Its great how people see things differently
Hopefully Campbell is that man

Reading your post reminds me of the time I watched a tramp having a shit on the forecourt of a filling station in Goole, but your post has less entertainment value.

When you have a five yard lead on the last defender, as Moore did on the chance where we didn't even muster an attempt on goal, you don't need blistering pace, just some. Brewster I'm sure would have opened his account there, as would One, JRS or pretty much anyone else we could realistically play outside of the back four. Still, three points, let's move on
Brewster would have taken it early and blasted it into row Z

Positives: Wilder saw the game slipping and made proactive changes who were all involved in the goal and ultimately got 3 points. Our defence and keeper look very solid also.

Negatives: Didn't control the game, wasteful in possession and Arblasters worst game in a Blades shirt.

Watched it in the pub, I thought defensively we were really good, it will go down as a professional away performance but, I was really disappointed with our use of the ball, when you look at our quality in midfield why did we keep hoisting it long?
It was obviously down to management because Cooper rarely passed it,
However, brilliant result, I went for a 1-1 before the game so move on to a QPR win tomorrow.

Blaster was hardly in the game first half and made the mistake that led to his booking

However, second half thought he improved and did his job defensively and I don’t remember him giving the ball away once although I may be wrong
