When was that last pic
It's a post promotion celebration, possibly after going up in 1989. If not, the year after. We got promoted a lot once upon a time.
After the 5-1 win against Swansea in May 1989. We had two games left after that match and only needed one more point to go up

I nearly ripped my thumb off on the very back of the Kop roof that day!
I was a bit late to attend after some work.

I may even still have the scar :D

A Blade lost his finger after his wedding ring got caught with the wire fencing as he climbed over it before the final whistle of the home game against Peterborough in May 1982

I was there too.... thats the match I thought the pic was of originally....I was young so stayed at the back and got some turf :D

as i said, not all at once

So we build the South stand further back and leave a big gap between that and the BL stand and the Kop?

Then move the rest of the ground at a later stage? You arent really thinking this through.

There was already a gap with the cricket pitch, half the gap, then shift the pitch half again and you are left with quarter on each side.

when the new stands are built further down the line, shift the pitch the other quarter and the john street in a half.

I ran to the perimeter of the pitch before the final whistle of that Posh game. So many fans were stood on the touchlines, a fan ran inside the pitch and tried to boot the ball before the police or stewards grabbed and moved him away. About a minute or two later the ref blew for time and all the players were trying to escape from the fans grabbing their shirts etc

And the money comes from?

the other stands have been redeveloped since. So i guess the money would come from where the money came from?

You asking where the money would come from, for something that has already been bought and paid for.

Don't think it's Leonardo's thinking but if you suggested that was the boards plan.

Pretty sure its the line across ahead of the D so keepers had a much bigger box as i recall seeing old clips where they would be almost like basketball players bouncing the ball around way off their goal lines, does look weird compared to what we know today!

The D wasnt a conventional D either, it was sorta shaped like the McDonalds 'M' and served to mark the pitch out accurately if my memorys correct
