Tezza1889 got me thinking here. He's betting on Norwich/Leeds doubles from now till the end of the season as he doesn't win bets, so let's say £10 per bet, he'd happily lose £80 for us to be promoted.

Doesn't necessarily have to be cold hard cash either, if the footballing god's asked for a bribe to guarantee our promotion over the next 8 games, what would you give?

Cash? How much?
Your arm? Your kidney? Your wife? Car?
Swap your holiday to Barbados for a week in Skeg?

Would would you happily give?

It won't work because Leeds and Norwich aren't going to win all their remaining games.

You'll end up losing money and we probably still won't get promoted.

Everything, then our fanbase can all chip in to pay me back.

On the exchanges we're 1.3 to get promoted; so you could win £100 (minus commission) with a liability of £30.

Of course the more you gamble with the scumbag betting companies football lives off now, the less you have to go to games and pay directly to united to keep us competitive.

Pretty sure odds of 1.3 mean if you put £100 on then you get return of £130. So the opposite way round to what you have.

On bet365 our odds are
First place 3/1
Promotion 1/3

Exactly so , therefore a much better idea would be to send it all to me and I will then raffle it off with 50% going to the lucky winner and the rest to a charity of my choice ........ :)

You're confusing the exchanges with traditional bookmakers like the one you've quoted. I'm talking about laying us i.e. betting against us.

Tincan benevolent society perhaps

I put quite a bit on us not to beat Leeds. Majority on a Leeds win, then enough on a draw to get my money back.

Never been so happy to lose money.
