How do you stop Growing Crowd Disorder

I read the other day that they are really concerned about a pitch invasion at Hillsborough, the reason they are worried is that one of the invaders might end up winning the man of the match award 😳

🙄

I've said a few times that sniffer dogs ought to be deployed just inside the turnstiles. Must be incredibly easy pickings.
There have been sniffer dogs on the away turnstiles at BDTBL a lot this season. I'm not sure if they're after drugs or pyro but I can't help but worry they lost their sense of smell during Covid.

as the title said How do you stop Crowd Disorder, because everyone who been to an away game this season or watched football in the last 2 weeks could see this billy sharp incident coming a mile off. we already had a Leicester fan arrested & jailed for 4 months at city ground in march. we arent going towards the bad old days we are in the bad old days right now

for me the stewarding & policing at some grounds that ive seen in person & on social media has left a lot to be desired, which hasn't helped, it ended up completely lawless. you only have to look at Huddersfield who were just as bad as forest, they were all just watching it happening but doing absolutely nothing while a luton player was getting slapped & abused while trying to applaud the away end beside the goal.

what can be done or what will be done, because of course metal barriers are a no go for obvious reasons. as i can only think of putting netting around the stadiums or the wembley style barriers. because something needs to be done, before things are too late & we are talking about a monica seles style attack at the french open

Stop putting 18 year olds in flouresent jackets and paying them minimum wage to steward matches!!!!

Would be great to see the premier league take a stand today. Dock City 3 points for the pitch invasion.

In the good old days we had blokes on white horses pushing the crowds back, but we are not allowed to do that Now.
fathers lifting kids onto the cross bar at Man City, no one has any respect for anything anymore, no discipline because everyone is a selfish barstuard.

Knew it would happen...

It’s pissing me off this, fucking twats the lot of em.

State of some of those on pitch today, climbing on goal posts the fucking scruffy chavvy scrotes.

Sooner something can be done about this, the better.

Make all clubs require a photo ID for a ticket. Surely it's not beyond the dint of man to then use the myriad cameras and rough seating locations to work out who they are and then ban them?

Policing and stewarding looked well coordinated and planned at Man City today from the little I saw. Everyone looked like they knew their jobs and seemed to be doing it pretty well. Didn’t solve the problem though.

If tens of thousands of people are intent on running onto the pitch, and some of them are aiming to assault opposition players, there’s not much that better stewarding and policing can do about it.

Yeah I noticed that there was a pretty robust plan by club officials (who seemed ‘beefier’ than standard stewards) to get the players off, they obviously foresaw the issue (who wouldn’t) and surrounded their players ASAP, De Bruyne would have been mobbed by morons otherwise.

Some right stupid goons in there, laying down on pitch for a picture whilst the players are waiting to lift trophy

Honestly mate don’t think you can

The Wembley thing is fine if there’s room but it needs planning at design stage - we wouldn’t have room for it at John St or BL

Fact is if you put 30000 people in an emotionally charged environment, pissed up, probably coke’d up with access to the opposition’s players the day was always coming

That full weight cunt will loose his job and hopefully bump into a couple of Blades in the nick

But next year there will be another oxygen thief smashed off his tits and it will happen again

Grealish got twatted a couple of years ago, and that was on the pitch as the game was been played

There are some fuckin idiots in this world, personally I would castrate them so they can’t create another generation of scum, but thats probably a step too far
Sound reasonable to me.

Police are looking for a balding 30 year old from ilkeston who appears to have gone missing from an open prison !

IMO you have to look at context - As we all know pitch invasions happen when a big result comes off and most likely, a club will be due at Wembley the following weekend. (Or in the case of PL clubs winning the league - Charity Shield later in the year)

So imo just cut allocations to Wembley for encroaching fans - or in the case of Charity Shield have the complete allocation cut (as let's face it, a reduced allocation for this cup is nowt really)

Imagine being a fan in the stands of a PO semi after your team's won, looking forward to your day at Wembley and knowing this rule is in place...

Fans start to encroach. You'd be fuming. The non-pitch invading fans turn on the invaders. It will soon stop when they get vilified by their own

The trouble we have been seeing lately is undoubtedly due to the use of cocaine. The writing was on the wall when thousands of fans charged Wembley in the England Euro final last year when they forced their way in. Sadly, it isn’t just the young that clog up the cubicles in every pub within a half a mile radius of the lane on match day. They are joined by the sad bastard Stone Island middle aged brigade that should know better.

Liam Gallagher's take on today's events.

Points deductions and ground closures, there waiting for someone to be stabbed or worse, not good enough from the FA or Efl

Some European grounds have a clear screen, I'm sure there is a technical term for them but I'd describe them similar to plexi glass which you get around rinks at Ice Hockey.

If push came to shove then I'd see this a a decent option, doesn't have to be too high either, 10/15ft and could be incorporated into the advertising boards so there's still room to walk down to the front when entering/exiting.
