Wilder should tell the players to not take over 5 minutes to return and applaud the Kop then....... especially when it's cold. I won't criticise anyone for not waitingWas really poor of our fans to leave at 90 mins, it was like a mass exudes. Can't blame wilder for being annoyed
Wilder issued a "where are they all going? We're top of the fucking league" in the direction of the crowd as everyone started piling out on 90 minutes.
No it was because people left at 90 minutes and there was 7 minutes extra time. It looked as bad as when we lost badly last seasonWilder should tell the players to not take over 5 minutes to return and applaud the Kop then....... especially when it's cold. I won't criticise anyone for not waiting
Edit - if he's referring to fans leaving when there are minutes still to play then I agree. But I assumed he'd be referring to after the FT whistle because it really was quite empty
I agree with CW. It's pathetic how people walk out but it wasn't as bad as the crowd walking out of St James' Park before the end of Newcastle's match.Wilder issued a "where are they all going? We're top of the fucking league" in the direction of the crowd as everyone started piling out on 90 minutes.
No but when I saw this, I chanted 'Duh, duh, doo, library in a football...'What I want to know is if people make a lot of noise at the library do some of the punters chant 'reading at the football.'
It was a very cold day and the SS lot had consumed all their Werther's trying to keep warm , so cue a mass exodus to the sweet shopWilder issued a "where are they all going? We're top of the fucking league" in the direction of the crowd as everyone started piling out on 90 minutes.
There are plenty of other threads to have a go at Brewster inI think if it was a hard fought win the fans would have made more attempt to show appreciation... but we coasted the game without having to get out of 3rd gear, carried Brewster all match and still looked very comfortable.
The players spend a lot of time fucking around before they decide to go to the fans. If they want the applause maybe they might want to speed it up a bit.It is noticeable that fewer fans are staying behind to applaud the players after home wins, it’s almost as if they don’t want us to go up again!
Last sentence seems an unnecessary dig.Probably something a bit more fundamental involved in that we've been promoted twice recently so there isn't the same thrill along with the nagging feeling that another season of hidings would likely follow if we do manage to go up.
We're also signing or attempting to sign players very poor PL teams have deemed not good enough which doesn't exactly set the pulse racing.

Can't see the quality of potential signings having any influence one way or another on the atmosphere yesterday.
They should maybe start at the Westfield corner, South Stand, Kop, John Street and leave the Family and other assorted hangers on til the end (don't know where to fit the BLU though)The end of game applause thing might seem like something minor but it's exactly the sort of thing I'd expect Wilder to be all over, but there's zero sign of that
If they want to wave at their families for 5 minutes they should do that after everything else
Yep, something like that would suit everyone betterThey should maybe start at the Westfield corner, South Stand, Kop, John Street and leave the Family and other assorted hangers on til the end (don't know where to fit the BLU though)
Forest are having their best times for over 30 years though. Not sure how good things were when they were struggling in the Championship. For those saying that home fans all over the country don't create an atmosphere, you should have watched Forest v Liverpool the other night. The home support was fantastic. I was ashamed at my own admiration for it. Even the lasses and the old blokes were on their feet singing, jumping about and chanting. Yesterday, when the penalty went in, it was difficult to make out if the kop were actually celebrating. Everyone was already on their feet, granted, but no arms in the air, no jumping up and down, just polite applause. More like 'digits' rather than 'limbs'. I've been to shows at the theatre which have had more raucous audience appreciation.
Struggling in the Championship? Is that what we're doing at the moment then?Forest are having their best times for over 30 years though. Not sure how good things were when they were struggling in the Championship.
No, but going for a third promotion in six years, some of the excitement about the Premier League may have lessoned. I agree with you Id love to see a better atmosphere at the Lane, I think it would take us making a go of it in the Premier League (by that I mean not being slaughtered every other game even if we still go down) for that to happen.Struggling in the Championship? Is that what we're doing at the moment then?
