Henderson’s loan will be extended

That might well be right. Another season long loan, not an extension and not activated today. Didn’t really justify your sensational announcement, did it?

Henderson may well be with us next season. But I'm certain it'll be nothing to do with something getting "done" in the past few days, hence you being fairly called out for this.

If i told you who I my source was would guess the name in one. I would have then misplaced their trust.

That may very well be the expressed intentions of the parties but the purported “deal” of which you speak (if it exists at all) is no deal at all because it is not enforceable and a lot can change between now and July.

This is what I’ve been trying to tell you all day, but you were unwilling to take notice.

I sincerely hope Deano is with us next season. That would be great, but there ain’t no ‘done deal’ worth the paper it’s written on.

I think you owe Chali 2na a tenner...

Well if he is here next season then that’s a good result.
Whether it was extended today or not I don’t know....personally can’t see the point of it being done today if there’s nothing on paper.
Maybe Man U have said it’s a goer, maybe the player has said it is I’ve no clue.
But if it’s right it’s good news.

Some of the tubes on here know what they are talking about.

No deal has been done that can be lodged with the EFL. No deal will be lodged with the EFL today.

If you told us the name of your source I can well believe that we would guess it in one!

Unless your source can change EFL Regulations the deal really isn’t worth the shouting you’ve done, or indeed very much shouting at all.

If you were simply wanting to tell us you have spoken to Dean Henderson, good for you. Next time you see him tell him we all love him and want him to stay, but he can’t sign any document effective to achieve that until the Summer.

We could terminate his existing loans and "resign" him for 18months. It can absolutely be done.

Not sure it will tho.

Or Man Utd can make it a permanent with a clause that allows them into sign him on a free at the end of next season unless were promoted.

Theres a number of clever ways it could be done

Again not sure it will.

The maximum period for a temporary loan transfer is one season. Further, loans can’t simply be ‘terminated’ as we have found to our cost.

It can absolutely not be done.

*EFL loan transfer.

More that one person has proved international loans are different.
 
So...for arguments sake say we struck a deal with Man U....where we paid a fee...and the lad signed an 18mth contract?

In that contract we pay his whole wage...and the fee isn’t too much. Thus allowing Henderson to sign back for Man U should they wish to take him.
In-built is a clause that they have first refusal to sign on set terms...while also adding a huge sell in Claus should we receive a bid we deem worthy of a sale if they don’t want to sign him back for a pre agreed price.

Could we do that then?

For what it's worth I've thought for quite some time that Henderson will be here again next season regardless.
