Are we the smallest team in the league? Birmingham were rubbish at set pieces today but other teams are really going to punish us. Even some of our taller players are terrible in the air.

Whoever comes in needs to help address this.

All they did has lob it up and we must have lost 75% of headers.

Norrington Davies is a tall LB about 6ft and Davies 6 ft 1 if we get him, this will make a difference, Oli Mc has been an asset defending set pieces too and wasn't on the pitch muh today

We have been suspect defensively in the air for a long time now. Weve never got to grips with losing JOC and it is unbelievable that we are still looking like a bunch of panicked gazelles everytime a high ball is put on our box.

I (amongst others) have called for us to sign a couple of big hairy arsed bstards at the back who will kick abd head everything lobbed into our box. Apparently though this is uncultured and the game has moved on.. (according to some on here). Actually it hasn't really. A defenders principal job is to head and kick it clear. Until we get some at the back who can do that in the air, we will struggle.

Well Baldock, Osborne, Fleck, Sharp, Brewster and Norwood are either small or crap in the air so you may have a point but it was the ball on the floor that we weren’t best at overall and we gave away too many stupid fouls.
Plus Berge, Robinson, Didsy, Burke, Egan and mousse are tall and should be good in the air so who knows.

We don't look very threatening from our own set pieces either. Teams can use their biggest guy to mark Egan and then we hardly have anyone else.

Never had any confidence of us even creating a chance from a set piece.

Nobody dominates opposition penalty areas and even if we did have someone it's offset by Norwood's absolutely piss poor delivery.

Berge is probably our best crosser so get him on set pieces rather than stood on the corner of the penalty area doing the square root of fuck all

This. Berge is plenty tall enough, yet going over towards Norwood for Every Single Fucking Corner and never getting near a pass is a right royal waste of time. It didn’t fool me, it didn’t fool anyone sat near me, and it sure as shit didn’t fool Brummijum.

Absolutely spot on. Birmingham had Dean and Roberts at centre back. Neither great footballers but can win the ball in both penalty areas. Anybody think our John Egans mate Shane Duffy could do a job in a four?

Hard to know for sure but I suspect not. Berge, mcburnie, mousset, Burke, Egan, RND, Stevens are all 6ft or over. The issue is obviously not all those started and with Robinson and osborn playing next to each other it created a massive space on the pitch which may as well have had a cross it here sign erected over it. RND or Stevens helps that out but an actual centreback is also required.

This is tbe worrying thing. They have one really tall striker and usual size CBs. They literally lobbed it up and we had no idea how to stop it.
