I agree in parts, but as you say, performances over much of the season have been pretty poor and not good to watch. I don't think it unreasonable that with some of the personnel we have, we could have a slightly more exciting style of play. That said, results have largely kicked this can down the road and we've now come unstuck. I think for many, it's now the realisation that Wilder is not the solution. I've long being of the opinion he's not the man regardless of which division we find ourselves in next season.I don't think he's lost the dressing room and I'm not sure he's lost the fans unless you're basing it on 30 or so bedwetters on this site. It's simply a meltdown based on 3 poor performances at a critical point in the season. Yes it's extremely disappointing but if people take a step back and look at where we're at after last season it can't be doubted he's done a good job. Some of the football has been turgid for sure but who of us wouldn't have taken our current league position after last seasons capitulation? He's rebuilt a decent squad, lost Arblaster and Souttar to serious injuries, add Souza to that to some extent as well. At the end of last season people on this forum were predicting we'd drop like a stone through the leagues or at best be lower half of the championship table. It hasn't happened and that's down to the manager. They need to improve and quickly but the seasons not over yet regardless of what some want to believe.
