I think if anything though, that shows we're going about it the wrong way. If we have the best quality chances on average but still have a low xG (and goals scored) then the method clearly doesn't create enough chances.
I prefer our way of doing it by the way, I'm just staying how I read those stats.
Either way, better quality forwards should improve the numbers.
We have to work hard to fashion chances no doubt...
Agree, if we could play a similar way with a truely deadly finisher (who can burry a half chance) and maybe someone in the middle more adapt at creating (the Duffy role) for the side we should see an increase in goals.
That would help us create and finish more chances.
