Sun reckons Pep is chasing Harry and will need to top the £75m that Liverpool [aid for Van Dijk to get him

Shame we don't have another clause to get an extra few bob out of the deal

He's told Brendan tonight that he wants out of Leicester City.

With Manchester City not attempting to get into a bidding war, it looks as though he might be at Old Trafford (not 100%) for the new season.

If MUFC pay the £80m for him, I wonder if Hull City will be splashing the cash soon?

Hold on , we do get some cash if he moves on don’t we? I thought we get a % of the profit Hull make?

We would have got that from when he went to Leicester...
If Hull make more money from this move then I assume some of this trickles down to us? Otherwise our sell on could be affected by Hull taking a lower fee with loads of add ons.

Assuming we do get 20% of hulls profit.

Moved to Leicester for £13.75m
Goes to Man U for £80m
£66.25m profit
20% is £13.25m paid to Hull
20% is £2.65m paid to SU

Pays for half of a Luke Freeman 🥳

I don’t know, depends on the terms that we sold him on. But the 2.5% for an academy player is just a standard rule for all players so that’s definite.
Is this standed procedure as I have never heard of this technicality before ? ,very useful if true

Surely we’re not due anything from this transfer?

Hull in for a very decent windfall.

How annoying.

Yep I cant imagine the academy fee existing 3 transfers on. I mean I hope Im wrong a few million into the warchest would be very welcome but it just seems bonkers.

It does, development fee to ensure that clubs responsible for initial development always get a slice. Only small percents which won't mean much to us but very useful to tiny clubs in same situation

The only Maguire who's moved has gone from Fleetwood to Accrington

I see Callum McFadz has moved to Plymouth. Both those lads have made a living out of football despite rocky starts
