Looks as though if Hull offer anything above £2m he'll be off. I'm sort of in the frame of mind where I would let him go if he's refused contract talks now. Spend the money on Brayford in my opinion. Maybe another centre half also.

This.

If he does go and we get him back on loan will his wages count in FFP? Would he still count as a home grown player or would he just be classed as a normal loan player? If his wages do count I doubt we'll be able to afford to have him back

Wouldn't anyone be pissed off if we sold HM to a set of scrubbers like Hull?

Looks like Dull Tigers fancy Harry to make up their under 21 numbers. Doesn't appear that he'd be in their plans much. It doesn't even seem like he'd get to warm the bench. Which is a shame, but on the positive side, he'd have lots of free time to spend his cash.

If that's what he wants, I think he should go so we could sign someone who actually wants to play for us.

We all go work for money. Who wouldn't move jobs if you could treble, quadruple? your wages and a massive signing on fee.

It's the reality, it will make him a wealthy man. Just think if he does his cruciates in a game for us, it's over for him and he would have missed the chance to be a millionaire.

Thanks and good luck if he goes.

Let him go. Spend the money on players that want to play for Sheffield United.
For every Kyle Walker there is a Jordan Slew that has failed to make it.

... Because the practice of buying up young talent just to loan it back out and not play them in your own team is immoral and conceited. One of the worst things about the EPL is the stockpiling of young players and prevent others getting any benefit. It's the essence of greed and should be legislated against. Restrict them to only 5 loans out in total at any one time - that will make players and agents think twice about parking their arse on a bench.

Different from Coady or Brayford as they weren't getting first team football.

If Harry goes then I wish him well but I don't want the same shit setup as happened with Walker again.

One word of warning for him. Wolverhampton is a complete shit hole and the inhabitants are a couple of genes short of a full deck. Hull is glamorous compared to Wolver'ampton.

Yep.
I agree with most of that but sadly it's not the reality...yet...

I hope Harry has his head screwed on.

Hull are signing Lescott and Davies is catergorically not for sale as club captain (according tothe Hull fan next to me at work) - he would be at least fourth choice Centre Half and would not get a game apart from in extreme circumstances.

If he goes there, he will be out on loan at a Championship side by Christmas, probably unfit and he could go backwards.

If he stays here he will be the lynchpin of a side that 'should' challenge for Promotion - either way in 12 months he is likely to end up playing Championship football. Does he want that on the back of a season of limited chances and short term loans - or does he want to do it on less money but as an intergral part of a club on the up?

That is Harry's chioce and honestly - not just with red and white tinted glasses on, for the good of his career he needs to stay with us for at least one more season, or go to a Championship club where he will play. The Hull move will turn him into Slew mark 2.

Harrys agent should not just be looking at a quick pay cheque for the lad.

any questions of any career threatning injury are irrelevant as he would be insured. Also he cant go on the chance of 'what if' all the time.

Regardless in 12 months if he carrys on progressing then he will earn a move at least to a championship club weather we are there or not. And probably for more money and a bigger signing on fee. Also wouldnt his agent prefer a bigger slice in 12 months and probably a bigger club than Hull.

it seems silly to move now when he is virtually gaurenteed this in 12 months.

Hull do play with three centre halves at times, but they also have James Chester and Alex Bruce (and Paul McShane), so unless one of them are leaving, Maguire may find it tough to get in the team.

Agree - That's why I say 'at least' fourth choice - he would definitely be behind Chester, Davies and Lescott, but as you say may well also be behind McShane and Bruce.

He would be signed as an under 21 squad filler - a 'freebie' add on to the 25 man squad in the Prem and UEFA. He would not get a game.

If he leaves us I could give a shit if he does play for someone else.
I know what you mean though

Agree, me neither. In fact a bit of bitter schadenfruede in me hopes he rots on the bench if he goes for the money. But it highlights that if he went there - it wouldn't be for footballing reasons in my opinion.

Maguire would not get a game for any prem team,he's not good enough yet.

As for hull we will no doubt be in the same if not higher league than them in a couple of years time imo,so If he moves its for the money and i don't blame the lad for that as every other footballer or any job for that matter would do the same thing.

If he wants to show any ambition then he needs to stay with us imo and not go to hull or wolves.Either way good luck to the lad and i hope he makes the right decision

Indeed. Signing for Wolves would be a more sensible option but they won't stump up the cash. If I were him, I'd wait to see if any offers that match the board's valuation materialise from teams like Fulham, who were rumoured to be sniffing. If not, buckle down with us and see where we are in a year. Signing for someone like Hull about one of the worst things he could do, in my opinion.

Now that Stearman has signed a new contract, joining Wolves is not such a good career move either. I see Wolves slipping into the night now.

Maguires off on his jollies, was told he expects to cut it short in order to speak to Hull.

My friends wife works with Harry's girlfriend. They're definitely back from their hols now. She doesn't want to move so I think somewhere like Fulham is out of the question. She works part time and is also at college.

Easy answer to that one is to ditch the bird when he moves.

When he's a Prem footballer on £20k plus per week in London he can have the pick of the local (and international) gash.

If loyalty is no concern and cash is the real motivator then why not go all the way? Money brings you choices and lifestyle change opportunities. Football brings you glory - stuff that money just can't buy.

A sort of "Take the money AND open the box" scenario eh?

Well I can assure him that shouldn't be a consideration if he does move to Hull City :)

'If' he does want to bin us for a place like Wolverhampton, I think she should start looking over her shoulder
