Is Connor Sammon still pretending to be a footballer there? We need all the support we can muster at the moment. Feel free to give us a try!
Arrghh I was just about to post that reading the thread....then I got to the last commentIs Connor Sammon still pretending to be a footballer there?
That’s a good effort but maybe you should stop going to away games with that record! In my early to mid 1980’s panini album and English First Division influenced youth there was only one Sheffield team I’d really heard of, and it wasn’t United.
Whatsmore Liverpool were really my English team as they won everything at the time.
Then I went on a family holiday to Bridlington in, I think, 1987and had a day trip to Flamingo Land.
I was standing in the queue for one of the attractions and clocked a guy wearing a red and white striped strip with which I was unfamiliar.
I had a closer look at the badge and it was Sheffield United and from then on I started follow the results.
A long winded and unlikely story but it’s all true!
Saturday was my 8th ever Blades game, so certainly a low key supporter!
5 games at Bramall Lane, Hull at Wembley, the 4-1 debacle at Walsall in the League One winning season and Leicester in the FA Cup last season.
He returned to Hearts at the end of last season and is now out on loan again at Motherwell. Is Connor Sammon still pretending to be a footballer there?
He was by no means the worst player I’ve seen playing for us to be honest.
I can assure you Ihave seen some amount of shite over the years! In da modern yoof parlance:
"wow, just wow!"

I always have had.And I hope you get afforded the same warm welcome down here, as I get at Easter Road.........
I always have had.![]()
I really enjoy my footballing trips to Scotland, been to about half a dozen Scottish grounds now, some with the Blades pre season and some with Hibs, but away from the Old Firm I’ve found you will find the punters at the likes of Starks Park/Easter Road/Cappielow are your genuine football people and probably Firhill as well, if it is a ground I ever get round to visiting
