Warnock's Cardiff version of Akinbiyi / Horsfield. I.e. massively overpay to get someone who may or may not get you over the line.

Say we offload Leon and it just doesn't end up being a window for the right striker move. We are then a striker light.

He did a decent job for us last season. Certainly he could cause some discomfort late on in games and we have nobody who could ease the pressure at the end of games, be that a forward to defend corners, to hold the ball up etc

I'd see him as far less of a 5 month gamble than Rodwell to be fair. Maybe we didn't fancy paying a fee Cardiff would have wanted in the summer but now?

I actually rated him & always have. He's not at our level anymore, but would be a good signing for any club in that division in my opinion. Even if only to "do a job."

I wouldn’t consider us a striker light realistically, as he was only added to the 25 on account of him still being with us – we tried to offload him. Wilder currently talking about the fact we’ve got a good five strikers – not six. He won’t be replaced if he leaves this window.
