I wholeheartedly agree with all that you say, great post, until that last point. I think we'll finish slightly higher up but then miss out on the playoffs anyway. 9th/10th for me.

Maybe I am out on my own here, but I think Henderson will be better than Blackman.

I know it was one game, but for that excellent tip over at the weekend - pretty much the same scenario was a goal when we played Boro last season.

It was a great save, brilliant. I still think Blackman is the better presence and athlete, however.

It's hard to judge on the first game however he did make a few good saves the only difference for me was Blackman wouldn't have kick the ball out for throw-in when sold short he always looked up for a step over or 2 under pressure

Blackmans distribution in the first few games last season were terrible. I remember commenting as such on here at the time.

It was a great save, brilliant. I still think Blackman is the better presence and athlete, however.

I dont think Blackman would have got down to save the Leon own goal, I know they still scored anyway.

There’s not much in Henderson and Blackman but Henderson’s distribution edges him for me. Blackmans long balls came down with snow on top whereas Henderson’s are much more direct. He played a driven half volley against inter that nearly set McGoldrick free down the left wing in the first half

We can't go for these top end Championship players because we get blown out of the water wages wise. It's going to have to be foreign or back to the lower leagues I think until the board room shit gets sorted.

We need to stop chasing players like Luke Freeman (good though he is) and go for someone like Tom Bayliss at SISU: potentially better than James Maddison and while the fee would still be in the millions, his wages won't be as high.

The next three days determines if its a good window or not. However, I'm still optimistic and I think we'll push play offs this season. I'm probably on my own here but I think Saturday won't reflect how we will do this season. Once Coutts comes back and Woodburn finds his feet then I think we'll be a match for most teams. We do desperately need another forward though.

That’s a massive indictment of our scouting if we’ve millions of pounds to spend and can’t sign even one striker to come in an improve our forward line.
