Four bids

You need to work on your grammar, it’s terrible to read.

So - we’ve lost Evans, Holmes, Carruthers, Blackman, Donaldson, CCV, Wilson, Brooks, Hanson, soon to be Lavery who will all be decent earners. Top that with the 12 million we’re due to receive for Brooks.

That would more than cover the players we have already signed and then there’s 12 million left after that.

Right, come on then brainbox, if your suggestion is we shouldn’t be paying over the odds in wages for players because we’re making a loss (as are 20 of the 24...) why are we after players who will command high wages? Wasting valuable time for the laugh? They’re unattainable.

I’ve explained it perfectly well already. Wilder has explained it more than adequately.
We aren’t a club that’s comfortable losing sums that make us fall foul of financial penalties. Our owners aren’t happy to lose beyond a certain amount.
Wilder got a sum of cash to spend as he sees fit. He decided to try tempt Waghorn from Ipswich and put a package together for wages. Another club in a positron or prepared to lose more money than us outbid us.
What’s to cry over? We move on.
Keep your toys in the pram and pop your bottom lip back in.

4-6mill eh ??
and brooksy went for.. and jack will go for..
do the maths same owd same owd

And it’s been mentioned how we still have that money to spend. We’ve got bids in for two permanent players and two more loans. Leaving Waghorn will change plans.

Most clubs aren’t happy to but they shouldn’t be in football if they don’t know the risks.

Waghorn was never attainable in that case. Nor was Hogan. Nor was Gallagher. We should be shopping in Aldi if that’s the only wage we’re willing to pay, not walking around Waitrose asking if we can have their finest loaves for half price.

Who’s crying you fruitcake? Simply wanting our club to start acting like a big club is not crying nor is it throwing your toys out of the pram.

I’d love to know what you’re going to do if it’s Hogan or Gallagher we end up signing. All your hot air about wages will have gone straight out the window.

How do you know...if it’s loans they may well be subsidised at a rate of what we were trying to pay Waghorn! Perhaps they’re more keen to do a deal as it’s nearly the transfer window closing?
Perhaps the lack of permanent fee means we will pay a bit more for both in loan fee? Perhaps loan striker allows a permanent deal for another player/ area of the pitch.

You see the difference between us, is that I’m not Going to have a paddy over something I don’t know about...whereas you will!

I remember last year we signed two fuckers on the last day of the window pretty much out of the blue. Heneghan and Donaldson.

Two similar signings to those would be complete shithouse, but no noise doesn't mean things aren't happening.

Can't wait until we sign some reight random fuckers.

The non witty digs at the club suggest you are getting upset about our clubs awful plight!!
I seem to recall the trotter clad crew making similar rants a few years back, worked out well for them?
I would suggest that Wilder knew full well what Waghorns salary was. His agent would have made sure of that. The fact he has decided to put price himself of a move here and Derby giving into his demands has worked out well for a player who was at the very top of his worth after last season and looking to settle himself into a contract that sets himself up for life.
GLTTL...he’s a fraud, and not worth what Derby will be paying for him.

What a load of bollocks.

He’s a fraud - okay. If he’d come here he’d have been ‘the best forward in the league’ in your view. I can bet my house on it.

it doesn't matter that he is alerting other clubs so they can start chasing the same player

Does anyone seriously think as soon as a players agent is aware of our interest they try to keep it a secret? They pick up the phone and tell every fecker to see what fee the agent gets?

Leaving Waghorn will change plans.
Waghorn will have been one of the 4 bids, that was said just before we dropped our interest. Smoke an mirrors, smoke an mirrors.

You’d lose your house...check my posts if you like.

Only going on what TomJonesBlade said earlier.

I don’t know the exact figure.

Wilder said we “couldn’t get up to what Ipswich wanted” and Derby have got him for £5m which suggests we bid less. Alan Nixon on twitter also back tracked and said our bid was smaller than he originally reported

No it wasn't, and four bids was never mentioned either,

and we almost signed:

Jerome Sinclair - on loan to league 1
Devante Cole - Wigan reserves
Dominic Quina - Living la vie de Diego

He said a couple. A generic term which may or may not be specifically 2 as reported.

My guess:-

Darragh Lenihan (Permanent)
Conor Coady (Loan)
Jon Nolan (Permanent)
Sam Gallagher (Loan)

Might as well have a pop

Lukas Nmecha - Man City Striker - Loan
Joao - Pigs - Striker
Kieran Dowell - attacking midfielder - Everton - Loan
Grant Ward - midfielder - Ipswich

The likelihood is that all 4 will be forward players rather than different positions over the pitch - unless the O'Connell transfer is a goer, which hopefully it isn't. When Wilder says we've got bids in for 4 players that will be because he knows that we can't put all our eggs in one basket with one or two bids. Its the last week of course and hopefully we'll get that quality forward and/or attacking mid. I'm hoping Marcus Maddison is one of the bids!

Wouldn't be at all surprised to see Cameron Jerome as one of the bids also. He might not be a sexy signing and is 31 but he will give decent competition to Leon. Would be OK with Jerome signing but less keen on Nugent.
