A couple at least. But players in the past worshipped him. Maybe he's lost it a bit or maybe he was laying down his authority by digging out players who deserved it, and who haven't responded to advice and encouragement. I've heard Shaw is thick as shit and a bit lazy. Perhaps he'd had enough.

I think Martial played better after he'd been criticised a bit. It's unorthodox but players' mentalities are different to how they were twenty years ago, perhaps sometimes a different approach is needed?

If they don't win the league they'll come very close.

Not sure Martial has reacted well. Save for the wonderful solo assist v Madrid, I don't think he's done anything.

A lot of Manure fans are also getting fed up of his defensive displays and blame everyone but himself attitude.

Man U fans have been fed up since Fergie left. He's not a perfect fit tbf, his football is looking a bit dated at times; it is dull, I can't really say otherwise, he isn't known for developing young players - quite the opposite of the 'Man U tradition'.

But he gets results. His brief was to get them back into the champions league and he succeeded.

It's an interesting turn around for the two Manchester clubs. City will be the exciting and stylish team and Man U will be the functional and unattractive side.

Mourinho has proven to be an awful Man Manager. How many youths has he hung out to try in the press?
You can tell what a poor man manager he is by looking at his record. Only 3/4 European trophies and maybe 6/7 national champions starting with super rich Porto.

I was glad that Guardiola failed (to a certain extent). He'd more or less inherited the best team in Europe wherever he went. In fact he actually took Bayern backwards.

Do Wendys realise where Hillsborough is? They talk about us and our manager as though we're a bunch of scum class shit shovellers that live in shanty towns and play football in a field.

We're mostly all from Sheffield, surely you can't take the piss and judge someone on their accent when it's your fucking accent. What a bunch of muppets.

And they ought to look at the state of their ground before insulting any aesthetics of anything to do with United, be it manager, fans or otherwise.

I was watching a Premier League Goals 92/93 thing on Sky last night and Hillsborough looked better then. Absolute hole.

Fuck knows why they expect premier league football, living in the past. It's been the best part of 20 years since they were there, the Premier return ticket has not only expired it's disintegrated haha

Can't wait for Billy to score a couple against their poundland defence at Hillsborough.

Bastards.

Sorry, he's a superb man manager.

You're only as good as your last gig they say.

He totally lost the dressing room at Chelsea and has continued that style by publically outing players/staff when he doesn't win a game.

Gone down really well.

He couldn't really have improved on what Bayern did the season before he joined them though. The PL is a proper test for him, as you say, if you inherit players like Messi and Iniesta you're starting with a massive advantage.

I think it's the worst FH of the season usually. Managers talking a lot and saying nowt. Seeing who can be the best comedian. Best when it's left to the fans I reckon.

Missed it tonight but my impression of them is:

Carlos: Genuine guy. Comes out with some strange analogies. Tactically inept. Will probably be sacked by Christmas.

Heckingbottom: Another genuine guy. Feet on the ground. Good manager who is a good fit for Barnsley.

Caldwell: As much fun as a dose of clap. But has signed well for Chesterfield and will get them organised and disciplined to have a good season. If they don't go bust!

Warne: Emotional, passionate, weak. Will struggle to cope and probably have a nervous breakdown if Rotherham struggle again.

Ferguson: Good manager. No nonsense and straight talking. But needs a better club.

Wilder: Best of the bunch! Will deliver providing he's backed financially.

Warne will be sacked by Christmas and the way Hickingbottom talked recently about their board, he'll be out too! Barnsley have lost too many good players. Carlos may be a nice guy, but thankfully he; appears to be tactically stubborn or lacking.

Thanks to you all for the updates on the managers special. I missed it but not surprised by the deluded lot they don't half make themselves look like .....well typical pigs ! So funny enjoyed your posts just like a Roys view from btw they have a massssssssssssive shock coming there way and I can't wait UTB.

Fish is not potato as he says!

Carloss has come off quite lightly on here. His method of answersing was to praise the question and then waffle about sh1t for a while and then I lost interest. He even claimed he didn't know if they actually could afford a transfer fee!
Give me that straight-forward Sheffield bloke every time.

It sounded like he had no control over what players arrive or leave or has anything to do with the £ side of it. Something along the lines of "I read the media and ask the chairman if these are figures are correct"

just read their forum page, we should congratulate them on getting their crayons to work on modern technology. The banter level is that of a classroom full of 6 year olds, (apologies to our 6yr old fans for the insulting comparison)

Did anyone else feel that Gary Caldwell came across as still really bitter about united, the kyle walker money and David brooks, he must have caught negative bitterness off Parkinson up in the north west! He must have forgotten we gave him reedy who must be one of the best midfielders in div4

I played football tonight with 2 pigs who had come straight from the show. Their view was that "Wilder speaks very well" And "Carlos never answered the question asked"

Suppose they are both edging towards middle class folk though so a rare breed for pigs

The reason they are shitting themselves is this season has all the hallmarks of the one where we did em home and away when they had the budget and the big name manager and players and we had the passion and Bassett. Question is who will be our Bobby Davison?

Carlos has been in Sheffield for 2 years now but even though his English has improved he struggles to answer basic questions - or plays the language card very well! I wouldn't want him giving instructions to our players, I can only base my view on his interviews in that he struggles to get his point across. I'm more than happy that he's still in charge at the Sty to be honest. Since he joined hey have blown £30 million to move up 5 positions in the league!

Wilder continues to be a breath of fresh air and the Pig fans that are less full of crap (not many I know) can see that we have a real gem in Wilder and deep down they'd love a pigs equivalent but there isn't one. The closest they had was Smegson but he was a tactical dinosaur!

You just have to read this thread to realise that our fans are as obsessed with theirs! Not aimed at Booker4 btw)

Funny thing is that when he arrived he spoke a lot of sense, got his point across and didn't seem to labour a point, perhaps yesterday was a little more daunting for him and perhaps feels the pressure a little or perhaps this experience of being in a job for a 3rd season is a very new experience.

I thought his answer about the academy was reasonable, but he took forever to answer it but answering it 5 times.. i think he wants the academy players to be quality...

Where else do you turn when you are at the brink of your FFP threshold? All those years of neglecting the academy.

Poor young players, bar a couple and not many saleable assets. Not a good situation for them to be in.

Thought Carlos was really honest. Said they are fucked on FFP and it's freebies or bargain basement signings only. Sort of bloke you could have a really good night out with. He deserves to manage a club that isnt supported by cunts.

I'm pretty sure he will be soon enough.

Leon Clarke

The problem is that apart from young Hirsty, they don't seem to be producing much

Some interesting views there.. I didn't realise the two Manchester managers were there as well, I missed them. Football Heaven going global then.

Just listening it through now and as someone else commented it is the only one I have any interest in listening to. The audience makes a difference because the Brian The Blade types don't get to hog the airwaves. To be fair all the managers sound eloquent and there are good questions with good responses. All the bollocks about Carlos and language is childish from our point. Yes his answers are long winded but the guy is answering questions best he can.

Just listening to a great question about academy players and how they are integrated into the first team.

Don't say this often but well done to Radio Sheffield for doing this and giving us the opportunity for a genuinely interesting insight into all clubs in the area.
