Colin Morris, enough said. As a mere 39 year old (nearly 40) I can't say I say Currie play in the red and white, only just remember him in a cup final for QPR.
So Colin Morris is the STAR of my youth. Also shook Colin morrises hand on the pitch in a pre-season rout of skegness on the pitch. ( Beat that!!) lol

p.s I don't have to sit in the naughty corner for admitting to being a Monty fan on this board do I?;)[/QUOTE]

Monty may not be the most skillfull (although last season some of his passing at times was magical) but he does a job for the team and does it well. My old man had a football saying that sfor me sums Monty up, "You might not touch the ball all game and still be the best player on the pitch, if you can create space and time for your team mates."

There, I said it now I can go and have a long lie down.......

Been done a few times........but easy for me!

TC! Best player I've seen!

:)

What the elderly gentleman said. When you look at Untied players from the past forty years there is TC, and there is everyone else. Deane and Agana were class, Whitehouse a true Blade, and Sir Bob was a legend, but they weren't TC.

Simple really, who is your favorite player of all time and why?

Mine is probably Dane Whitehouse, he's about as far back as I can remember and was the only player I ever used to "be" when playing footie with my mates.

Without any doubt it has to be TC. Best player I have seen and no doubt the finest I will ever see. (closely followed by Alan Woodward).

im with him^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

After the PNE Semi 2nd Leg last year, I was commiserating with some of their fans after and turned out I was talking to Jock's Daughter. She was head to toe in North End garb but admitted she really didn't mind who won as her Dad used to play for us but said she doubted I'd remember him!

Lovely girl. Far too good for me though! ;)
Haha!! Did you tell her we've all seen her getting her jabs as a wee baby? :D:D

We used to sit next to his Mrs in the South Stand in the early 90s - lovely girl too ;)

Keith Edwards for me. He was our goal machine. Remember him once scoring a goal from a move that Pele famously tried to do & missed.

Colin Morris, Tom Heffernan & keeper Keith Waugh were also boyhood favourites of mine.

I remember that goal. Sunny day at the Lane. TC for me closely followed by Edwards.

For me it's Monty without a doubt.

I've had so much stick for sticking up fo rhim over he years but there's not a player in the leagues that gives that much on the pitch and manages to pick themselves up after all the shit thrown at them!

Morgs comes a close second, again personifying everything i want in a blades player...spirit, determination and loyalty!

Always loved Simon Tracy and Alan Kelly though and there the two who had me being a goalie for my childhood. Can remember being the only kid who asked for Goalie shirts and wore em proudly!

Going back further....Adrian Littlejohn...my earliest memories are of him and Deano...

I liked Martin Smith until he decided to better himself by moving to Huddersfield.

He career ended up sinking like a stone after

paul mcgrath

could hardly walk never mind run but oozed class and seemed to know where the ball was goiing to be 5 mins before the opposition

used to spend the entire game watching him ,amazing player

I'd say Shipperley's a recent favourite of mine. Played the targetman role absolutely perfectly. Great bloke, too. Met him before & he was more than willing to have a chat.

I'd have to say i have a few David Holdsworth is one a fine centre half, Michael Brown we all know he wants to come back and of course deano
