Says who? They could have done that in the first place and then been told that they have the power to shut the stand / stadium down, subsequently not such a good idea

They grant the license, subsequently without the license you cannot host fixtures.Says who?
Rules are made to be broken. They grant the license, subsequently without the license you cannot host fixtures.
I don’t like it either and I don’t like them but unfortunately it is what it is.
Sit in the seat you have been given. How fucking hard is that?
Yes, I will load one up for you now.Can you let me know which bin?
It was hardly a flare, it was the equivalent of Roman candle from a box of standard fireworks.. it doesn’t make it right I know but how were the club supposed to stop someone from smuggling something that small into the ground?
I am saying the punishment the club received was excessive. All three were fired from just behind us. I can’t say what they were. Flare, firework? It was a projectile deliberately fired at Pig fans. I’m not quite sure who or what you’re trying to defend here. It was stupidity and indefensible.
I know her Dad. I saw the marks on her.
This explains it again.![]()
United to STOP selling tickets on Kop amid warnings over potentially closing stands at Bramall Lane
Sheffield United have STOPPED selling matchday tickets for the Kop stand at Bramall Lane, after “issues” with fans not sitting in their allocated seats and congregating at the back of the stand.www.thestar.co.uk
You will soon, when all the excluded fuckers off the kop come & stand in front of you (in your seat)I sit on the south stand & I genuinely never knew this was an issue? I dont understand how or why its a council issue either? Surely a football league issue but not council?
You will soon, when all the excluded fuckers off the kop come & stand in front of you (in your seat)
It’s not just the persistent standing that’s the problem, if it was just that it probably wouldn’t be an issue. It’s the fact that people who are allocated seats in other parts of the stand go and stand up at the top of one particular gangway causing a bottleneck in both directions. What serious incident could possibly happen? Apart from I suppose scraped knees. The worlds gone mad, when you compare the near crushes we use to accept in the 80’s.
I’m all for free choice, if people want to stand then stand if people want to sit then sit. We should cater for the wishes of most fans and respect their wishes as long as it’s relatively safe of course.
If you want to take it to extremes the steps on the Kop are unsafe because you can fall down then and suffer injuries.
You will soon, when all the excluded fuckers off the kop come & stand in front of you (in your seat)
A low point of my life, having one of my tweet’s copied and pasted by the Star.![]()

Not sure it’s (just) “gobby teenagers” if away games are owt of an indicationHa. That would imply that they'd even noticed.
Do they get paid enough to wade in and attempt to remove 10-15 gobby teenagers? That's the other issue.
Arthritis means they can’t sit down in the first place so plenty of space for another ‘standee’Based on @TJB s post, I hope they try it on SS H block first.
But who’s to say how many of the ‘offenders’ are actually season ticket holders? You will soon, when all the excluded fuckers off the kop come & stand in front of you (in your seat)
Have a like for ‘pissed up slavverchops’Somethings got to change, its carnage on there at times, with Burberry clad mongs and pissed up Slavverchops
United spokesman said it would cost a six figure sum to install safe standing, who would be the first to complain when that money isn't spent on new players or the training ground.United should make the back 10 rows of the Kop safe standing. Do it now. It would be a quick and cheap intervention.
Assist anyone in this area to relocate season tickets if they want or need to sit. If you remain as a standing ST holder or buy a standing ticket you know what to expect. Manage this area properly, with experienced stewards and a couple of police officers, which would be at the club's expense. Check tickets, eject those that refuse to sit in their correct seats. This would allow those who want to stand to be able to do so safely.
Obviously there may be practicalities to consider, safety trials etc, that mean this takes some time to phase into full operation, but the club have just part closed the stand anyway, so need to do something now.
This can be monitored and more standing rows added in future to ensure standing capacity reflects demand and no one who wants to stand has to be in a seated area.
Fans have always stood at the back of the Kop, the fact safe standing here has not been implemented already is a massive oversight by all concerned if the issue has been known for a while, and would have prevented all this.
AyeIf not, then how can there reasonably be this step we now see (which has never been communicated as a next step, for non-compliance, as far as I believe)?
It doesn’t really matter what they’re paid. Their role is to prevent events from occurring and uphold safety and if they’re not doing that, then surely this is the crux of the issue.
If there had been a similar announcement to say something like “ we are investigating some known issues and stewards will be actively removing people who are persistent standers/ in the wrong seat. If this continues to be an issue, match day ticket sales will cease”, then that’d be fair enough. But it feels like it’s been a fairly silent operation with no fan engagement and no communication whatsoever around a failure to comply.
So what? If the suggestion is that the rules need to be upheld, then uphold them.Aye
&when the stewards “actively” undertake “their role to prevent events from occurring and uphold safety” the entire kop will applaud & cry huzzah whilst passing the offending ‘n’er do wells’ over their heads towards the exits
one of the problems is that we have a number of people who have had season tickets at the back of the kop ( singing / standing section ) for years. They have no wish to give up their seat as when people sit down it is a good seat, subsequently why should they move to a seat in an inferior position within the kop stand.
the only logical solution is to create a standing area at the back of the kop and then ask people to choose new seats for the whole kop, with those who have had their seats the longest to be given priority of choice from the start of next season.
AyeI am saying the punishment the club received was excessive.
So…….So what? If the suggestion is that the rules need to be upheld, then uphold them.
You can’t do nothing about it and the complain it’s continuing.
