It definitely should be 3 games for cheating like that. I know he’s our player but it’s hardly a deterrent is it? Particularly if like the Leeds keeper you’re outside the box.

If it’s a vital game and someone’s through late on, rag him down and put your feet up for a week.

The rule isn't only denying a goalscoring opportunity. It's both.

How about a penalty for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity. But, just 'allow' or award the goal for denying an obvious goal. Red card and one game ban for both.
Penalties are about 60-70% success rate, so awarding one for an offence like last week isn't really fair.

Problem is there’s no such thing as an obvious goal. Owt can appen! Leon missed loads of obvious goals. Simon Stainrod jubilantly celebrated an obvious goal once, but it wasn’t!

I mean where the ball is actually travelling into an otherwise empty net. Not like the player needing to do something more to help it on its way.
