Bizarre view of a modern sports psychologist. I don't know if they work, some athletes, footballers and managers believe they do and they're the ones out there doing it, not me.
Some managers are pretty good at psychology anyway, they know what buttons to press with individual players.
I just think we need to look at why players that are rated at u-21s struggle when they get a chance in the first team, why they don't seem able to cope with the pressure.
I agree that experience and game time helps and I'm convinced a lot of the problem is mental so maybe we should be looking to address that in more than one way?
