Nonsense. Pinchy has assured us he is signing and that as a result there is no point in signing anyone else.

I think he is signing yesterday.

(How many points dropped now since the loan window opened?)

I see you've recovered from the embarrassing knee-jerk about Paul Coutts and How Many-Nil Doncaster would beat us?

Recovered but, sadly, not learned.

Yeh they proved me wrong against 10 men.

Shame about last night.

Anyway, where is Hammond?

IF he does sign it will not be until tomorrow or Friday as this will allow to play 2nd January and then be registered for the rest of the season. As mentioned elsewhere, if it was today then it would run out on 1st Jan and although transfer window opens on 2nd Jan, we would not be able to play anyone who signed that day.

From some "ITK" on the Leicester City forum:

"My understanding is that SheffU are trying to get Hammond loaned "on the cheap" but LCFC are blocking things because they want them to pay more of his wages.

Hence the deal is off......for the time being."

Does sound about right for us.

Jeez, I do hope that is bollox.

They've apparently been negotiating since before last transfer deadline day, when Hammond almost but not quite got over the line

So how the f'k can the club be fkin around still negotiating after all this time?

We've either agreed to sign him, or we can't afford him and should've moved on long ago ffs

Are their ITKs as good as ours? If so, he's probably already at the training ground.

Unless paying him more would take the club outside of FFP ....... Do you know if it would? (genuine question)

Who knows? What we do know is tho, we've saved Murphy's salary, which must have been one of the highest at the club, together with gathering in his fee, reported to be in the region of £1.5m and correct me if I'm wrong but Jimbob said that monies raised from the sale will go back into the fist team squad. Unless it's a play on words, I take that as being monies that NA can re-utilise for replacement(s).

Or maybe it's been realised we've paid out too much in the past couple of years for players who haven't delivered we aren't going to waste more money, how many appearances in total have the likes of Flo, McGahey, Wallace, even Collins for the past 12 months etc etc actually made in direction relation to how much money they've had out of the club

Not disagreeing with you but if Murphy was being paid, say, £5K a week and Hammond is on a Premiership minimum £20K per week - if we are being required to pay £20K per week that would mean we are still looking to find best part of £300K just for a 3 month loan. And there would no doubt also be a loan fee plus agent fee. Soon eats into the £1.5K.

Ok MB, I understand that, but if NA wants better players and he has the funds to get them, then surely that's what the funds are for?

I agree. But as a League One club within the bounds of FFP (60% of our revenue can be spent on players wages), there is a limit we can go to. As said, I am not disagreeing with you, and the Prince/McCabe are without doubt putting their hands in their very deep pockets to assist, but there are ultimately finite resources and the club has to make the decision whether he would be worth circa £500K on what we are paying now for a 3 month loan. I have stated it is central midfield that lost us the games against Bury and Colchester but it is a lot of money to gamble.

Unless Leicester have suddenly demanded we pay more this would be totally ridiculous but sadly unsurprising.

Can't we just pay non of his wages but just give Leicester some money as a loan fee instead?

Max or anyone else who claims it know nothing, as NOTHING is coming out of the club from anyone or any department

Is it not plausible that Adkins drives to Max' school and hangs about the yard until break-time to tell Max the latest news, then drives to Mike "Strappy" Stephenson's work-place before returning to the office?

Get with the programme, Edmund. He sends a direct message from his Twitter account to them both.

As if he's got time to drive around to ensure people are ITK.

We are utterly ridiculously inept at fucking everything bar selling our best players for a pittance. Absolute shambles. Mal Brannigan wants sacking
