That’s a load of rubbish about the 3 hour drive to Ipswich affecting his fitness. It came from McCarthy I think. Just an excuse.

Maybe he was doing the commute in this

Slap a confirmed on this. 3rd signing done.

Just confirmed by club on twitter.

Pleased with this one over all - sensible signing to improve the squad, lots of experience and good link up play. Hope we still have 2 or three more to add

But, but, does this mean Waghorn isn't signing?

A shot to nothing really, if he stays fit he’ll be a wonderful asset.

If he doesn’t he hasn’t cost a fee and won’t have troubled the wage structure too much.

You don't think spending 6 hours a day in a car has a negative effect on fitness?

Hopefully will be a decent signing. I'd sort of taken it as a 'given' that he would be taken on but als a bit underwhelmed as I was expecting Longhorn....sorry Waghorn.

I feel it's important for us to acknowledge what a wonderfully long head he possesses.

Well done, David.

Very good technical player on his day but slow and injury prone...probs back up for Leon and Billy and if he can force his way in, great!

UTB!

Wilder's tipped him off about the lack of stripes on the back of the shirt. "Look at it and then look pissed off. The fans will love you."

Good to get him in on a one year contract. I wonder who has the option on extending. Hopefully, it has to be both parties.

He's obviously got the skill, but fitness and injuries a worry. As long as we're going for 5 strikers (total), then great. If we're only bringing in one other, then a huge risk.

If he can stay fit it would be an excellent signing, but all the evidence would suggest he can't and will be lucky to play 50% of games this season.
