Player Suggestion David Brooks

If that were to be the case, have we a deal lined up to offload Mcburnie to fund this deal?
This would leave us with Burke and Sharp with Moose to come back and Brooks and Mcgoldrick to play as the 10?

Just looking at options but we have to fund these deals from somewhere, although I can see Norwood being moved on as an effective straight swap for a years loan of Brooks.

The only quandry is who he'd play off - there isn't a natural Leon equivalent. It could be (i.e. would have to be) McB or Brewster perhaps

Nothing yet agreed for Cash, not sure why £15m was the reported bid, it was quite a bit less. Enquires are still ongoing for Ben Cabango.

£18m exc. add ons (about 20m EUR) agreed for Cakir, just need to discuss personal terms. We're at the same personal terms stage with Robinson.

No improved offer on the £12.5m for Ramsdale I mentioned on the 1st of August. Obviously waiting to see if we can finalise the Cakir transfer.

As far as strikers go, Emmanuel Dennis is now top priority.

John Swift - £5m tabled, I expect they will accept that and I don’t see any potential issues at all regarding wages.

Evans isn't in the same league as Norwood, literally and figuratively. Norwood has the occasional stinker, but we have no one in the squad who can do what he does.

I am all for getting Brooks back, or a similar player, but not at the expense of Norwood.

I wasn't comparing Evans to Norwood just making the point that no-one saw it coming so don't put anything past CW.

As far as Norwood is concerned sure he has his attributes but for me he's not going to improve enough to be a regular PL performer. Before he gets anywhere near starting again he should be made to spend the week at Shirecliffe taking crosses, corners and free kicks with a wall and beat the first man over 70% of the time....

Thank you. I have said this on numerous occasions only to be slated by Norwood lovers. He's on a par with Lundstram in how much he makes my blood boil.

I admit that his deliveries have been poor at times recently. But for most of last season he was superb, so I can't see how he has suddenly become dispensable.

We'll see I suppose.

Norwood has more than the occasional stinker. Its becoming a regular occurance. Only reason its not happening now is because he's sat warming the bench.

Problem is Fleck's not exactly on fire either, Berge is doing well as the holding man but we just need some creativity desperately in the middle. Not enough competition in there. Hoping we pull something out of the bag today in this regard, but not hopeful.

But for all of his superb deliveries last season we only scored 1 goal from them.

That's debatable. But like I say above, we'll see what happens regarding transfers.

Apologies, I should’ve said he only managed 1 assist from them. The Palace one was his only goal from last season.

Its also the Sunjihi that promised me that Brewster was in last nights squad.

A lot can happen in transfers, maybe some of the ITK quotes were correct at the time and things changed out of our control.
Either way I take gossip and rumours with a pinch of salt, some piss you off but most are a bit of fun.
