Don't think we've got the budget for it it, perm or loan (with a fee). Hopefully I'm wrong though
[/QUOTE]

On this forum recently I’ve seen a shed load of comments on a shed load of threads about our how big our budget is. I don’t think any of them have been right. 🥳😂

One of the main reasons we got Norwood the other year was that he wanted to move back north to be nearer home (Manchester/Burnley).

Now I know money talks and anything can happen in football, but I cant imagine A) uprooting back down about as south as he could go, or B) a drop in division will appeal very much to Norwood himself. I’d imagine he’d rather stay put and fight for his place. Its not like he’s been rotting in the reserves is it? He’s only been benched for a couple of games, and the way results have gone he’s got to feel he’ll get his chance again soon.

Anyone who genuinely thinks that getting rid of Norwood would be a good idea needs their heads examining.
Not saying it's a good idea to let Norwood go but if Bournemouth want him and we get Brooks it's no contest..young exciting creative player verses a steady eddie ,bring it on.

I wouldn't describe Norwood as a steady eddie under any circumstances. One of the best passers in the division and our best set piece taker by some distance. I agree that we do need a Brooks type, but for me Norwood should be back in the 11 too.

Like the one today ?

Was a good goal but nowhere the near the level of Freemans on his weaker foot.

But won't take anything away from Didzy still a cracking goal if only he was more consistent love the guy for effort but just not premier league quality on a consistent basis which for a team like us is never a good thing.

I don't get this clamour to sign him.. Is he even fit? And if so how long will he stay fit? 1game? 2? Before his glass legs give out again.
Waste of a loan for me.
Move on.

I really like Norwood, and not sure if I would go for it myself, but I can imagine a swap happening. Berge, Ampadu and Rodwell can all play CDM, so we have options there. On the other hand, we have McGoldrick as our only creative who can play in the hole. For what it's worth, I would like to see us try Ampadu at CDM, Berge back out on the right and Fleck on the left against Fulham.

Well if we don't then there is something wrong because we are crying out for an attacking midfielder.
Looking at it pragmatically, yes we are missing a playmaker and our stats going forward are poor but we've got to remember that our owner is poor in PL terms, he's admitted that covid cost us 20m and crowds are unlikely to come back until March at the earliest. The board will have had to make big changes to our budget to amend for this. On top of this, JOC's injury and the need for a replacement LCB will be an added financial pressure. I just can't see there being any money left, unless CWAK pull off an amazing move and bring in Brooks in on loan.

Is it today dad ?
I would think we have a reserve budget for new year window. It will have to come into play now to give us a good chance of pulling clear.
We are in a hole and by the end of October could be buried.
No chance then of pulling in quality players who if we do go down will give us a good chance of bouncing back.
This has got to be on CWAK and the boards mind,no player who wants to play in the prem will sign for a club odds on to go down.
I think today is an important one for the remainder of this season and beyond.

Maybe JOC’s injury has changed Wilders mind. Play with a number 10 and less overlapping CB’s.
Agreed with this. If we’re not going to use the CB’s as an attacking threat then we have to have an alternative way. The number of times we get the ball in the final third at the moment and look like we don’t know what to do is scary. I believe that we have the right wide defenders / midfielders available to make this a running change during a game.

Can't see this happening but would be fantastic signing for me playing him slightly deeper than lone striker

Dont forget we still until 16th to get players from EFL.

Is this the same Norwood that constantly fails to beat the first man with crosses, corners and free kicks, despite his magical ping....?

None of us saw Lee Evans going and Norwood coming in a couple of years back so don't put anything past CW binning off a regular started for another/better option.
