Not a particularly strong source, but rumours that Danny Green is on his way to the Lane instead of Swindon.

was very highly rated at Dagenham and they beat the pigs to his signing last summer. He didn't want to move north. Another punt but worth the risk from my memories of seeing him

Aye he's alright, but I thought Wilson said he doesn't want any more wingers???

Sometimes managers say one thing and intend another! Or maybe an unexpected opportunity has arisen? Who knows? I certainly won't complain if he's signed. Will you?

Not sure Swindon have been allowed to sign anyone. Their takeover isn't ratified. The plot thickens

Relax - once they sort out the takeover and the emergency loan window opens next Friday, Swindon will sign the three players they have agreed trerms with.

By contrast we sold our best striker and drafted in a has been and a never was anywhere that we have had before - quality!

Regardless, unless they get the loan deals at a fraction of what they agreed to pay, their turnover won't have changed and therefore they shouldn't be able to sign them.

It's not about the figures on pay Housers - it's the Swindon ownership and takeover that has meant the FL has not allowed the deals to go through. Once this is sorted the three players will be joining Swindon on loan.

Sun reports tug of war between both Sheffield clubs for the MK Dons winger, who's 26 years old

Fell out of favour after starting well last season.

Apparently, available for around £100k

Very underwhelming to say the least

So much promise never really delivered. Would be a usueful squad player but we already have squad players in that position who are as equally inconsistent and frustrating. Flynn, Murphy, Done, Jam even Cuvelier and Coutts have played welll on the wing at previous clubs. If we were to sign a winger he'd have to be something special i.e. Bryne at Swindon etc.

I believe Adkins when he says he's going to leave it till the players are back in and go through the their initial assessments before any substantial decisions are made on recruitment. The only exceptions would be centre-half, which I'm sure he's already aware we're short of specialism there, and possibly up front. For all other positions, I think any links to players will just be paper talk at this stage.

Sure I read somewhere that he'd said he'd already made initial enquiries. I'm presuming he means in readiness.
