He only changed formation once Utd had conceded and where chasing the game. In how many games did he start with anything other that 3-5-2?
This is how I viewed it.

My thought are that it isn't the best audition for a new formation when. Already losing yet Plan A always remains Plan A.

Although things didn't happen anywhere near quick enough, at least Hecky binned off Lundstram, showed there was an alternative to him playing every week and fashion a 5-2-2-1 formation with Osborn adding some much needed energy further up the field.

Exactly.

Everything the Prince said is the truth or the gist of it is anyway, with a few bits maybe lost in translation.

Wilder is a money grabbing snake who couldn't wait to get out once the going got tough. It's that simple, sorry that some don't like it.
Sunderland one summer, West Brom the next. Then suddenly, along comes a new bumper contract that made him the highest earner at the club.

Right, sound.

Ah, yes, the Chris you called “an arrogant smug prick”? That the same Chris?

Rightly or wrongly, someone who walks away from the club they are supposed to think a lot about isn’t going to go down well with some supporters, that’s the point I’m making. Stop taking it out of context and putting a couple of words out of the post.
Nothing out of context. You've said the man who took is from being wank in league 1 to genuinely challenging for champions league in 4 seasons wont be remembered fondly. Which is absolutely insane no matter what context.

Think Hecky was in a tough position, caught and affected by a number of things, his main instruction, steady the ship, if he made wholesale changes, far greater chance of players throwing transfer request in than escaping relegation, in the end even Fulham werent even close to that. Add in he didn't really want the job, so was hardly going to put himself in pole position by complete tactical switch, he did make changes using Osborn, but very late on with games running out.

I haven’t said that though have I. Show me where I’ve said that in my post or anywhere on the forum, the functions are there?

Regardless of this seasons terribleness, Wilder could’ve created a great legacy here, now he will not be remembered fondly for the bottle job way he left his and our great club
You were talking about wilder who is the man who took us from being wank in league 1 to nearly getting in the champions league.

So yes you have said that the man who did that won't be remembered fondly. Which is what I said was insane because it is insane.

Wank in league one to wank in the premier league with a very quick stop at "is my passport valid for next season"
Yes how embarrassing going from league 1 to the Premier league.

Gonna say. I think that £2m might cushion the blow mind...

But imagine offering your resignation on the basis you get a pay off. Crazy.
The football world is crazy though.

Thats the thing though, he didn't resign.
It was a mutual consent which is why he was entitled to a pay off. Both parties couldn't see a way forward so actually when Wilder left the Prince wanted him to go too.

Question, has CW actually got a 4 mill payoff, is this fact or just rumour

Given that the prince said he was surprised he wanted a 4m pay off. I suspect no. But likely 1-2m.
As said though on my previous post mutual decision to go, hence the money. Not full on resignation.

and neither did we "nearly" qualify for the Champions League last season........ 🤦‍♂️ 🤦‍♂️😂

Imagine how much worse this season would have been if we had, and the euro dross we wouldn't have been able to go toe to toe with.

You’re not reyt in the head are you? I haven’t said such a thing about what he’s achieved. The reason I’ve said some won’t remember him fondly are because he could still be here now but decided to fuck us off as soon as the going got tough, get that in to your thick bonce.

A lot of click bait sites reporting that Wilder cannot agree terms, budget and responsibilities with WBA who are now looking at alternatives.
There will be a number of opportunities in the premier league this close season as managers shuffle to get into the box seat at Everton and Crystal Palace, intrigued to see where he will end up.

Biggest shock at the moment Pirlo being linked with the Everton job if tgat happens and Nuno goes to Palace, means Dyche stays at Burnley, WBA might be the best/biggest option

Wilder will always be a legend here for what he did but there is no getting away from the fact it is tarnished by how it ended. Going to WBA and taking them up instead of us would tarnish it even more, that's just the cold hard reality of it

Cheers mate.

His spell was tarnished at the end, no one can deny that. But as for Albion, if he goes there and takes them up and it's at our expense, that's football, the Albion job is possibly the best job offer he'll get if he goes there, I don't see a PL club coming in for him other than Burnley but Dyche isn't likely to move unless he resigns.

That is football I agree. But people will ask why he couldn't stay with us and get us back up and that will generate resentment.

How? How does a team that finish 9th equate to 'nearly getting in the champions league'?
Bielsa's done well this season, nearly got Leeds into the CL. Some gaffer.
you don't remember all the talk & discussion on threads last season of it being a possibility then.....Oh that's right, thankfully we didn't have you gracing us on this forum with your needle sharp opinions & views.
