Voted no.

There is only one England number one and it's hard to get the shirt.
If I was a defender I wouldn't want thicko Pickford screaming and bawling in my ears- blokes a complete dickhead-

Obvs Cooper not Englands No 1 but- he is calmness personified - a great attribute to have for a keeper. So far this long drawn out purchase has been a 100% golden nugget. And while we are at it Harrison Burrows today- total class.

I see so many similarities between Coops & Henderson .. Henderson must have won us 10 points a season with some of them saves .. Cooper made 2 quality ones today that won us a point & plus he’s a lot more aware / commanding of the area probably than Hendo .. it’s good see a top keeper again back between our sticks .. hope we can keep him ⚔️

I know it’s very early days however I can’t help but get excited by the similarities with Mihkel Aksalu.

Cooper is a huge improvement. He's ace. And he had no chance with the goal. However, having watched the Boro goal back a couple of times I can't help but think that if it was Grbic in goal he would have been getting pelters forever about diving after it had gone in the net. Such was his status as scapegoat...

You could see from the Signing photo how happy Wilder was to get Cooper, in fact how happy we as a fan base were to have a keeper that at least was championship ready.
His Calmness and cool head under pressure shows he has what it takes to get to the top, the sad thing is a couple of good seasons for us and he will be gone to a higher team which could well be when he gets to be part of the england set up.

Seemed to me he just completely misread it. Whether he thought it was going wide or if he’d switched off for 5 seconds.

Im sure it’s one of those that if he faces that header 10 times he’d save it 5/6 times.

Great keeper overall though, excellent with his feet (yes he does the odd bad pass) & the defence seem confident with him behind them.

Plays for United so he’s got absolutely no chance of playing for the England national team unless he leaves.
Brewster plays for England young ones and he can't score so plenty of hope for Cooper if we do a good job of PL sometime in the next 10 years

What? It was a superb header and he had no chance with it. The fault was more Soutter not going with his man and Gilchrist not covering better

I think he is a great goalkeeper, he has made such a difference to the side and I like how he plays.

But, there have been loads of keepers who I think were equally as good, GK for England is waiting on the number 1 to either retire or completely lose form to the point that the manager gives up. I just don't see this happening as its more luck that genuine quality.

No chance of being picked for England whilst we are in the Championship .

Time is on his side. As a goalkeeper he's just entering his prime. Once he gets the opportunity to showcase his abilities in the Premier League people will notice.

Pickford is 30 and I don't think he's the kind of GK that can perform on a high level well into his 30's. And once he is out of the picture anything can happen.

I'm loving Cooper, albeit the defence generally give me the willies when threading the ball between attackers to break the press!
I also thought the Stoke keeper we were interested in last summer, Johansson, had a great game today. Kept the score respectable.

James Trafford from Burnley has just been called up to the England squad.

Don't think he's any better than Cooper 🙄

Yeah but he's from Man City and Burnleh paid shit loads for him so that makes him better.

Grbic wasn't a scapegoat at all, he was just completely shit.

Probably not but he has a decent chance of being in the top 3 English goalies.

So a bit like Henderson, will be a squad member at tournaments and play in the odd friendly.

I say this because if he wants to be Englands number 1 he needs to be at a top 6 club and doubt any would take the risk, they prefer foreign keepers. Playing at Sheff Utd always makes it more difficult to play for England.

I've replied 'Too early to say'

Has he actually made a save yet this season with our iron wall stood in front of him? 😂

Cooper has only let in 5 goals this season
