The Wilder era has probably already peaked, mainly thanks to the owners.

Nobody really cares about our home atmosphere and it's only going to get worse.

The Kop is broken and unable to provide anything resembling good vocal support, largely because our fans are fucking stupid.

Those who insist on sitting on the Kop are a big problem and need to fuck off to another part of the ground.

Chris Wilder under values our young players and got it horrendously wrong with DCL.

'£4m' for John Egan is far too much. We've broken our transfer record on a pretty basic centre half.

This is our last season of Fleck and O'Connell.

We've seen the best of the Coutts - Fleck partnership.

You’re spot on about Egan.

i'm in Scotland ATM and we get the Scottish football. 'i' could score three for Motherwell mate :D
I used to play against a guy who made something like 3 appearances for Stranraer's reserves and no you couldn't.

Simonsen gets too much grief for the playoff final penalty shootout defeat. Williamson, Lowton and Taylor deserved more.

Andy Taylor: worse player than those he replaced, usually injured (39 games in 3 years), crap when he did play, cost us a place in the Championship. One of my least favourite Blades of all time.

Almost the poster boy for our decline in that period. At least Lowton and Williamson played a large role in us getting to the final in the first place.

Henderson is no better than Moore.

Egan is no better than Stearman.

Woodburn is no better than Brooks (without an ‘e’).

We haven’t moved forward one inch.

But we’ve spent some serious money, chasing rainbows!

We will be in the bottom half of the table at the end of September.

Wednesday will be above us.

Sorry to spoil the party chaps but I think most or all of these could come true.

Last season was our best chance in the last 12 years to get back to the Prem. Poor Wilder wasn’t backed properly and this season he’ll be made a victim by some of you, as we struggle to convince in the first few months.

I'm less concerned about September as I am about April.

Give it a rest will you.

Go and have an angry wank and leave the rest of us alone...

Not going to even counter your many wrongs as I can't be arsed...

Unpopular opinions, hmmmm . How about the overwhelming majority of our players have come from L1 or lower ? Oh, hang on, that's not an unpopular opinion it's just plain bollox isn't it . My bad :)

It took me a while, but I think I worked it out. Your account has been hacked by a Wednesdayite, yes?

I’d say Egan is a good additional if not bought to replace O’Connell. Woodburn is an excellent loan and replacement for Brooks. I don’t know enough about Henderson to comment.

Either way your post doesn’t make too much sense because even if the signings are only as good as what we have or had we’d be the same as last time with Coutts back. I’m under no illusion that next season won’t be tough because we are no longer a surprise package and teams will set up a certain way to try and contain the way we play but your post is so unnecessarily negative.

Ah-ah you’re misunderstanding the post. Im just putting some controversial opinions out there for discussion.

I honestly have no idea whether any of these things are true. I’m just canvassing opinions on controversial topics.

If I was pushed my honest opinions( based on what I know so far) is

I have no confidence that Henderson is a big improvement over Moore. I think Moore is a very decent keeper and I think Henderson could well end up playing second fiddle. I’ve no issue with Moore at all tbh and I respect the lad for wanting to stay here and fight to be No. 1 when he could have doubled his wages (or tripled them!) at West Brom. I hope he runs Henderson all the way out of the ground and back to Man Utd. We don’t exist as a club to give Man U players a leg up on life! Put your own first.

Brentford fans know Egan better than us. According to them he’s a rather unsophisticated centre half. So was Morgan - and I loved him to bits. Maybe that’s what we need? I don’t know. Let’s see how he goes?

Re Woodburn: I like the look of him and think he will be a good signing. But is he that much better, or even as good as Brooks?

Have you EVER seen him play live for 90 minutes? I haven’t. I think (at best) he’s of a similar standard to Brooks. Which means, nothing added. I really hope I’m wrong because Brooks is the best young attacking player since the great TC imo.

Let me tell you something else...

It doesn’t take the opposition a whole season to work out how a team plays. It takes one match. Then everyone knows.

I genuinely hope all the new signings are fantastic and a big improvement over what we’ve got. But realistically they won’t all be.

It’s a bit like a kid on Christmas Day. You can’t wait to unwrap the latest Christmas presents and play with them. But by Boxing Day you’ve reverted back to your old favourites!
