Very disappointed with that from a poster that I consider to be intelligent and have respect for. You obviously completely misunderstood the point of it too! It was a series of controversial opinions intended to create discussion/debate on the same. Not my own personal opinions (although I’ve given them honestly in the following post).

I’ve learned one thing, through NLP training:

“You own the response you get”

So: all I know is that what I intended wasn’t received that way by some/many/most! And that’s my fault - no-one else’s.

I’ll need to rethink the way I try to stimulate debate in future!

There are well paid jobs as Moderators on this and other boards - and you could boost your CV perhaps by telling us how to behave?

Egan is no better than Stearman.

Woodburn is no better than Brooks (without an ‘e’).

We haven’t moved forward one inch.

But we’ve spent some serious money, chasing rainbows!

We will be in the bottom half of the table at the end of September.

Wednesday will be above us.

Sorry to spoil the party chaps but I think most or all of these could come true.

Last season was our best chance in the last 12 years to get back to the Prem. Poor Wilder wasn’t backed properly and this season he’ll be made a victim by some of you, as we struggle to convince in the first few months.

I didn’t know much about Coutts (in fact nowt) when we signed him but I defended him in his first season when most were condemning him. I drew a comparison with Lee Williamson who was poor at first having suffered long time out through injury.

I was very positive about the signing of Clarke.

I am also really pleased we signed Woodburn.

Will he be as good as or better than Brooks (without an ‘e’)? We don’t know. But it’s a great signing considering the interest in him from other “bigger” clubs.

As for whether any of your OP is cause for concern, we don't think it is really do we?!

It’s not derailed the recruitment so far - in fact it seems to have improved it!
