Confess your unpopular opinions regarding SUFC

Martyn Woolford was brilliant when deployed at attacking mid.

Dean Henderson will turn out to be our best keeper this century.

Our fans are quiet.

The Kop corner stand should fade up into the Kop and hold a singing section for our 21 vocal fans.

Chris Wilder doesn’t know the meaning of defend.

Ryan Leonard will become a fans favourite at right centre back.

We are a smaller club than people think.

The South Stand and John Street stand are too far away from the pitch.

The idea of a family stand is fucking abysmal.

We need a defensive midfielder.

Some of those are going to make you extremely popular on here - but I admire your courage .

Neil Warnock is an exceptional lower league manager and a really nice bloke.Fans can't understand he's just method acting in his managerial roles.

The atmosphere at Bramall Lane has fallen of a cliff since the premier league relegation season, and has shown little sign of reemerging.

We should constructively work on getting this atmosphere back.

Our fans routinely underestimate our best young players.

The academy was a fantastic investment that subsidises the loss making parts of the club.

It will be very difficult to improve our squad and league position with the 12 million from the Brooks sale. Our fans seem to be ten years out of date re transfer fees.

We need a full takeover of the club, as neither party has the financial wherewithal to realistically push us on.

Chris Wilder is being held back by the board and is doing sterling work in spite of this.

I think they should stop selling food and drink at Bramall Lane if they can't

Constructively. When we get some construction going we ought to think about acoustics. Especially on the Kop. Close the open side, either with a wall or another corner, pitch the roof up so it's like a cowbell shape, amplify the sound. A lot of football grounds do it. It's not a cheap trick though I'm sure some will disagree. Cut down some echo, amplify.

If there's anything we can do now without altering the stands like cladding and stuff, we should be doing it.

We also ought to sort the corners out, Pukka Pie corner is shithouse, and looks horrendous from inside the ground, the other corner should be mini Kop.

I also don't think it'd be very difficult or prohibitively expensive to put a new roof on the Kop and get rid of the pillars because of the way it was built, I think McCabe hides behind snazzy renders and promises of a complete rebuild rather than address the issue.

The Wilder era has probably already peaked, mainly thanks to the owners.

Nobody really cares about our home atmosphere and it's only going to get worse.

The Kop is broken and unable to provide anything resembling good vocal support, largely because our fans are fucking stupid.

Those who insist on sitting on the Kop are a big problem and need to fuck off to another part of the ground.

Chris Wilder under values our young players and got it horrendously wrong with DCL.

'£4m' for John Egan is far too much. We've broken our transfer record on a pretty basic centre half.

This is our last season of Fleck and O'Connell.

We've seen the best of the Coutts - Fleck partnership.

Gary Sinclair’s music choice

The “Tufty” nickname

Ched Evans - shit for two seasons and then all is forgiven. He’d have fucked off after relegation if it wasn’t for other things..

Our fans are out of date? We weren't the ones who negotiated the fees for DCL, Maguire and Brooks, amongst others.

If the Brooks money isn't enough to do anything meaningful, then I ask again, why didn't we hold out for more, or better yet not sell him?

Thought Blackwells football was very similiar to Warnock football,
Industrial and direct, when it works it’s great but sometimes can look terrible.
I remember Warnock getting real abuse because to be fair sometimes it was total rubbish under Warnock and Blackwell.

Thought Coterill was great going forward but didn’t defend and couldn’t tackle, hence why Blackwell didn’t play him much.

Thought Beattie was over rated by our fans. The team was set up to help him score.
Even Billy Sharp was forced to go on the wing and it was clear his instruction was to set up Beattie.
Remember once, Sharp had the audacity to shoot when close to goal and Beattie was waving his arms shouting ‘why didn’t you pass.

Think McCabe is a decent Chairman and I can see the logic in most of his decisions.
However most fans seem to judge Chairman on results.
So if a Chairman makes all the wrong decisions, treats fans like shit, changes the kit, the badge and the name.
As long as that team gets promotion then in many eyes he would be a great Chairman.
I disagree and would rather see my team in league 2 as long as it’s run properly.

The people saying Adkins needed more time didn't have a season ticket, are southerners and only went to the Swindon Away game when we did the geese celebration.

Nick “Monte” Montgomery was better than Kante.
The guy we signed from Reading (Hooper?) should have been on come dancing or helping airplanes to land
Anyone as loyal as Paddy Kenny should have been knighted
Neither maradonna nor Jags handled the ball
Connor Sammon was the game changing signing of which dreams are made of.
Calling Higson Higgapotomous was disrespectful and in poor taste

> Our defence should have been built around Simon Francis under warnock.

> Peter katuro couldn’t finish his dinner.

> Tracey should have saved Hopkins shot - to be fair I was only about 10 at the time but he should have at least dived

> Give a proper run - Christian Nade was at 10-15 goal premier league striker who just needed the right motivation.

Chris wilders January transfer window record is very poor - compared to our summer signings . Not one January signing has contributed to our success

That's precisely the same question I was asking. Hopefully Wilder has a couple of suprises up his sleeve.

  • I hate all of this 'the championship is the best/most exciting league' shit - the unfortunate truth is that nobody, other than those who support a team in the Championship, gives a shit about it
  • We should never model a kit based on a previous kit we have had. It is 2018, not 1992
  • I went to a holiday camp ran by United when I was a kid and Tony Currie was there. He had a right go at me after I accidentally stood on a chip that someone dropped in the cafeteria - I have disliked him ever since.

We'll never play in the Premier League again.

Anyone who thinks last season's away kit was blue is mental (also, it was great).

I liked Bobby Ford.

Paul Devlin deliberately played badly to engineer a move back to Birmingham.

I always thought Leon Clarke was good, going back to his Wednesday days (honest!)

I hate derbies and would prefer we never had to play Wednesday again.

Before my time but my Dad reckons Terry Curran was 'hard done by' at the Lane

Why should anyone give a shit about any division/league that doesn't contain a team they support?

Why do you say that?
I have relative who says he is an awful bloke to deal with.

I used to work with ex utd player kev Hursts father. The company sponsored his kit and as such the club invited each of the kit sponsors to shirecliffe to watch the first team training. I went along with the invite and spent a couple of hours watching. Whilst waiting for my lift home to turn up I waited in the reception area of the academy building. TC came down the stairs with a load of kit as I think he'd be doing a junior kids training camp. As soon as he came down he was ranting and tearing into the woman on reception for absolutely no reason. There may have been swearing too but was a long time ago but from what I remember it was totally vile and uncalled for. I've other friends who have met him socially and said he wasn't particularly nice.
