I'm not expecting us to sign anyone as I think the hints from Adkins mean that players have to leave. If other clubs sign players and we don't doesn't embarrass in the slightest. The mismanagement at board level does thou.

Even with this squad I think we will scrape into the play offs( not happy about that but that is where we are at the moment). A couple of new signings would be nice but I it wouldn't surprise me if they were loans with a view to starting again in the summer when most of the squad will leave

The way I see it, the automatic spots have definitely gone. We may get into the play-offs, we may not. But we might get in as we are, and there are no signings that would guarantee that we did, so why bother? You don't get value for money in January anyway. A few more outs wouldn't go amiss but I'll not be the least bit upset if we don't get anyone in.

I don't think we can afford to not go for it. We need to give every chance to go up everything. I agree though, I'd just get loans in (unless someone ace popped up) so we can build in summer.

Just picture the team and the chances of making the play-offs if Sharp got a long term injury. Even our current form is only on the back of his scoring streak.

When I counted the player signings in the JTW I noticed Blackpool and Fleetwood had been busy and their form has improved substantially. We desperately need a boost in midfield and forward areas IMO. I know many say defence but I honestly think we are quite solid at the back. Creating chances is the biggest weakness.

What lesson? There only seems to be two options; spend money or don't spend money. I'm not sure how not spending money is going to help the club move forward.
