try prestons record
but again I say it , thats gone , its history
ithe only use our play off record is is for negative twats to use it to beat us with
so your theory is because weve lost in 4 finals we will as a club never ever ever win one
tell me why do you come
theres obviously no future in it
whats the point if we go up if we cant win a championship one eh , lets not bother eh
or perhaps just perhaps we might buck a trend
tell me how many times in football are records broken , runs ended teams like bournemouth reaching new heights , obviously not in some blades fans worlds
You compared us to Swansea not me and my proof of that comparison being completely askew was unequivocal
So, let's look at Preston's record. As failure goes theirs is only greater than ours by the virtue of not getting through any of their 9 campaigns but, as you correctly point out, the Blades hold the record for the number of failures in finals. If we fail to navigate the play off campaign this year and PNE get that last automatic promotion slot then we will not only have equalled their record of participations to failures but we will have the worst record of all owing to the number of our dismal failures in finals -
Does this dismal record mean that we are likely to fail this time around? Well if it's a probabilistic argument then you would say, 'no'
But I am not basing my concern over past history - I am basing it on recent history, such as; form, injuries to key players, unsettled sides, lack of goals, lack of clean sheets, performances, players seemingly lacking sufficient motivation, the list could go on.
"Perhaps we might just buck a trend"
So your premise is that after all the slating of what has gone on before, which has fashioned people's moods and low levels of optimism, you are trusting to "luck" that we will prevail on this occasion.
Brilliant!
