I'd argue that Sharp wasn't really given a decent run of games in either of his previous spells, whereas Evans was played pretty much every game in that awful season.

Same could be said with Clive Mendonca. Sold early, brought back given little opportunity and went on to be a Charlton Legend.

Add Mendonca to the list of young strikers sold early:
Edwards, Stainrod, Varadi, Sharp, Adams, Calvert-Lewin, Lee Morris, Birchenall, Jones & probably more.

Sobering thought: the combined transfer fees (even with interest) would not cover half the amount paid for Brewster or McBurnie.
