And the process continues! Personally I want us to accept an improved bid, its clear that his head has been turned, its very similar to the Leon Clarke situation, although obviously we were in the buyers position. I believe that we'll be able to re-invest a proportion of the Adfams money into areas that we need to, as it seems that Wilder can't bring in anymore now (according to recent quotes) until players leave. We'd all love that to be Woolford and Wallace paid off, as he's injured by all accounts, but if it has to be Adams then so be it we've signed Clarke who will get the same if not more goals, based on recent seasons. Then we can go out and get that centre mid we all know we need like Morsy or Grant etc.

It's similar to the Clarke situation in that the bidding club is offering low and making its chase public in an attempt to force the player's current club to accept their bid. There are two fundamental differences: we're not skint (Bury are) and Birmingham have not got close to our valuation of Adams (we did with Clarke).

It's pretty similar to buying a car. If it's badged at £30,000 you'd be mad to pay that but the dealer's not going to accept £15,000 plus a promise of £4,000 at some point in the future if you get 100,000 miles out of it without it breaking down.

We're willing to sell Adams, that much is clear. What we're not willing to do, however, is sell him on the cheap. For that reason, Brum should fuck off.

Two bids turned down already so I imagine they are at the point of knowing what we will accept. Get on with it or fuck off...

Paying off Woolford and Wallace won't help us at all. We need money coming in, not going out.

Of course I'd love them to go via transfer fees or other clubs to come in for them on frees, but I doubt either event will happen and therefore it will help us financially to come to an arrangement that allows them to leave early and potentially find another club and for us to then have less players to manage and pay a wage out to, when they are no longer part of the managers plans. Of course paying them off is the last option, but as the transfer window goes on I suspect that, the prospect of that happening increases by the day.

Possible with Woolford but I can't see him going to a club higher than L2 (Grimsby?) so he'd take a big pay cut and probably want to recover a lot of that through his payoff so we might still end up giving him 6 months just to get rid. It would still help though.

Can't see Wallace getting any kind of physical job, not even a milkman, so we'd probably have to pay him off in full.

*Pumps fist*

I just wonder if the agent could be Jorge Mendes? I did have Wolves down as a potential suitor and a good club to sell to. Mendes is the most well known 'top agent'. Just not sure he and Wolves would be in for someone like Adams at this stage. I expect them to go crazy with foreign imports.

Now I am leathered I won't lie, however just seen Che Adams and Marc McNulty giving it the big I am outside Dempsey's at this hour. Now don't get me wrong I like these players but I don't want players in my team out at this hour when I assume they have training in a matter of hours

Draped jumpers and lollipops or it didn't happen.

P'raps CW has said "You've worked hard since coming back, lads so.......have a day off tomorrow 'cos there won't be any for the first two weeks of the season!"

Perhaps but lawless does have a point. We are but a few days from the start of a hugely tough match at the start of a hugely important season. Young lads will always put it away and sail close to the wind but this story seems to highlight a problematic drinking culture that a few of our players seem to persist with. I don't want to sound all high & mighty as I drink far more than is recommended but I don't get paid thousands of quid per week to be an athlete.

Hopefully CW is in control of this.

Bollocks

I'm not wanting to be a dick but we don't actually know it's true.

I remember people going mental after someone said they saw Diego De Girolamo driving round town in a flash sports car. Turned out he drove a Fiat 500.

Far from it, I rarely post on here, but read everyday. I'm not some chump trying to stir up shit. I told them that I wasn't happy that they were out at that hour when as I say I assume they have training in a matter of hours. I've nothing to gain from making up stories about the players of the team I love.

Sorry mate I just don't believe you. There's too many people stirring it at the minute.

What was their response when you told them this?

If you are managing the Psalter I don't think three hours kip is going to do you much good Go and have some sleep.

You're right, that is an assumption. And I sincerely hope they told you to bollocks if your story is true. Who are you to say what they should or shouldn't be doing?

I'm not looking for some kind of argument, I'm saying what I've seen tonight. I personally don't think our players should be out on the razz 4 days before the first game of the season, but we all have our opinions
